Great example of why I like RP so much. Never heard of this, it's different, enjoyable, (I wouldn't download it or anything), but I really appreciate the diversity on RP.  I like hearing different things and being surprised.
Ok now, this is one of those critic-proof songs. Bill mentioned that they were sort of a home town group so right there, rooting against them would be mean. If I knew these gals in college I'd certainly pay money to support them and all and I genuinely appreciate the fact that RP pulls me out of my comfort zone with respect to women's groups but...but...not this time.
Ugh. Gonna agree with Isfeder on this one.
Lovely!  Beautiful....love the lyrics and the talent.
Damn...this is great!

Open your mind a little bit. Okay, a lot. They're singing without instruments. No way of keeping time. No borders. They are insular. They keep perfect time and pitch.

Now:  Why is this so bad on so many levels?

Were your parents hippies by any chance? Bitter much?

Nice harmonies, I like it but it would wear thin on rapid rotation.

This song is so bad on so many levels
I like this ok.  I have a feeling this is probably much better appreciated heard live and in person.

I'm gonna sing the Doom Song now...

Still pretty local up here in Northern Cal near Paradise.  {#Jump} (in Chico).  They are worth hearing in person.  {#Hearteyes}

Oops. Apparently everyone else beat me to that thought. (I posted the same thing.)

Local talent, excellent. Enjoyed it.
that was sweet - thx Bill
Reminds me... Bill, maybe put some "Mountain Man" on RP? They are damn good too.

nice
Wow, that's pretty nice! Thanks, RP!

Utterly insipid crap. Probably acapella because no one would play with them! Stop!
Nice — interesting break from the usual fare
I kinda like this!  Singing a cappella is NOT easy - takes incredible vocal discipline to keep from singing flat. You almost have to hear an instrumental accompaniment in your head. Giving this a 6, with an open mind.
was i hearing Alela Diane here?
I kind of like this, but it could use a little edit for length.  Probably goes over a lot better in the coffehouse.

Are they called Ma Muse or MaMuse?
I find them pretty good -> 7
This one grates on the nerves .

Every single one of them .

Yes, the Bobs, whatever became of the Bobs?  More comedy in their material.

This is more serious, I need to give it another listen before I grade this tune........
This is pretty slick. Fantastic execution.

That's it! I've been trying to figure that out.

tasty . . .  heartfelt . . . and different.  Good to have in the rotation

The U.S. Congress.  We should replace all of them with mimes.
Boring? That's being kind. This is the kind of gunk "A Mighty Wind" skewered...and rightly so!

Ma Muse  (Me thinks.)
Novelty tune.  Use sparingly.

I'll bet this duo sounds wonderful live, on a small stage. To my ear, however, this acapella style does not translate well into a recorded music.

I found it so boring I had to turn it up and see who it was.  Don't like it much. ed—I guess Bill likes it a lot.

Am I the only one who just thinks this is pretty boring?
Sounds a lot like Hazy Shade of Winter.
I agree with the very first comment: reminds me of the Roches.

Not technically perfect but interesting harmonies and "feeling." Anyone know if the singers are related? Kind of has that family sound.

I like it more than I think I probably should.
there is a progression to the message which makes it even more engaging than just the melody . . . or even the solid rhythm

I really liked this one... haunting but sexy and sultry at the same time.  It's the kind of song you need to listen while wearing headphones that block out all other sounds, though — need to be engulfed in it to enjoy it.

Well...there's your evidence for mimes, right there.  This song's at least a three-mimer.   Darned mimes!

Very original in the way it annoyed me.

I'd say it got tedious about halfway through.

Intriguing.  Wouldn't want it in heavy rotation, but would like to hear it again to evaluate further.
Lack of excitement and interest CANNOT be made up for by length. This song is a case in point.
Amazing - quite amazing - how musical two human voices can be!
It sure sounds like an acapella version of that Bangles song. The name escapes me right now.
How long is this song??
 shakylegs wrote:

I'll second this!

any singers/voice experts want to comment on this one? I'm not sure if they are "good" singers. But I kinda like it.

Uh oh.

An ungilded lily, this one is.

First time in quite some time that I actual felt compelled to turn down Radio Paradise.  This song is not for me.

Reminds me a bit of Sweet Honey in the Rock.
a bit out of tune at times eh?
and extremely long...
but I kinda like it anyway..
This is absolutely awful.  Yawnnn{#Whistle}
Nice for an occasional listen.  A 6 for now.  Let's hope this doesn't get on the hot rotation...
Interesting! Nice harmonies!

Roches redux?
