You named me judge the day that I was born
You asked too much to fix what you had torn
Things got out of hand, now I understand

And I'm out of your range
Now it's kinda strange
How we change orbit in our lives
You were kind of a moon outside of my room
I could just feel you nearby
Now I feel you gone
'Cause I know what side you're on
And it's not mine

I walk the line between now and then
It's deep sea diving with no oxygen
Guess I went somewhere to hide
Far behind my eyes
I willed you there to see
But you never came for me

Now, I'm out of your range
Now it's kinda strange
How we change orbit in our lives
You were kind of a moon outside of my room
I could just feel you nearby
Now I feel you gone
'Cause I know what side you're on
And it's not mine

"The Whale Is Smiling" - That could be the title of a novel by John Le Carre or Frederick Forsyth.

It's a lovely song otherwise, but MAKE THE SQUEAKING STOP. It's a nice effect maybe once or twice in a piece of music, but over and over again it makes me want to break things.

Can't believe the title track is not on the main playlist. {#Sad} It's been on the LRC for a while.
The whale is smiling ...
I'll take this over Little Bird any day.

I bought this cd after hearing "Little Bird" on RP - gorgeous song, as is this one, and the rest of the cd doesn't disappoint. Thanks for turning me on to yet another great new band I would never have heard otherwise!

I fell in love with tis band after hearing their last album, Say I Am You.  They have a sound like slow water; it is simultaneously soothing and melancholy.
Very nice.
My favorite track on this CD.  Love the guitar part!  {#Guitarist}

Ack! I accidentally rated a new, unrated song, rather than the one I was hearing. I wish I could rescind my vote..

I'll leave it at a 5 for now.
