Well I spent the night in heaven
I wanted to figure it out by myself
I spin around the fortress
You never know the currency that we all run on
We run on
We run on
You once told me
You keep a billion frequencies on your person
End the night with channel four
You don't see me looking you up when I'm here
We live fast 'cause time won't last
See me freezing like the bum I am
From where you start there's endless information drilled into your eyes
Well, I don't need protection
One life begins, another dies
Bad timing
I won't last
Man, that's the facts
I it a feeling that will never pass
And you know you could be taking us far
When I speak to you again through the stages of pleasure
Well, I don't have my own face
So c'mon and be replaced
There's a future that's calling
But I don't see it coming
No, I don't have my own face
So c'mon and be replaced
There's a future that's calling
But I don't see it coming
No, I don't see it coming
No, I don't see it coming
No, I don't see it coming

Nice raw rock & roll sound...kinda like early Mac
I hear the same structure I hear in all the Chillies' stuff.  Not for me, thanks fans.  PSD next time.

I feel ya, I thought thus was quicksilver messenger service for a bit, alas, it's not, and on its own, a 5 rating from me

Someone definitely needs to get Steve Buscemi's opinion on this.

He used to live right around the corner from me. He's still in the area, I think. If I see him I'll ask.
the guy inspired me to get great at guitar...this is good parts of it sound like hes 70s influenced and the rest like desecration smile by the peppers just a shame needs more work but hes got chops in just about everything

I agree Louwu. hearing this was a wonderful shock. what an album. what a artist. love Frusciante.
Almost a shock to hear John here on Radio Paradise! {#Eek}

Well, standing for itself the song is taken a bit out of context. This album needs to be listened to in its entirety, headphones on (as Frusciante said himself back then, if I remember correctly). It's a 9 from me, if only because it has awoken the strong urge to listen to this album again later. {#Music}

Too bad he chose to follow his most recent path into, let's just say, electronic weirdness. But since he seems to be happy, so be it.
Empyrean is John's greatest work, a pure 10 for the whole album!
he is truly connected to the Universe, thats what makes his songs special. More of JF!:)
Hearing influence of Cream and Moodies. I don't normally care for his solo stuff, but I do like this.
I admire JFa lot.  But he really needs a good band to play with...
Why not playing "Central", "Unreachable" or "Ah Yom" from the same album?

The Empyrean is really good but this track isn't necessarily a highlight.

Very glad Frusciante left the Peppers (again) to do his own thing!!!

Oh yeah?  I happen to be poker buddies with his aunt's best friend's Avon lady's cousin, and he pronounces it "Fruh-ski-awn-TAY" . . .

I believe that it's pronounced 'Throat-Warbler Mangrove'.

This song is real crap, of the brown variety.

Also, the singing is not helping ... except to texture the crap.

Frusciante's albums to be consumed in their entirety...Give them a listen.

Bill, it's proununced "Fruh-shawn-tee" - I know his cousin, so I'm positive.

This is my 4th or 5th listen, and I can confidently say I do not like this at all!

The lyrics/vocals are good
strange sort of morph from late 60's CS&N to late 70's Ozzie
Upon my first listen I don't care for this too much.
At first listen I thought this was Spinal Tap, from their Stonehenge tour.
JF on RP? WOW!

thank you! ^_^
GOOD EYE!

Interesting, the sort of number which could grow on you. Bit of an eye-mangling album cover, though. An initial 6 from the Nottingham jury.

My thoughts too.  6 from the wet coast soap box.

Give the guy a break...he was touring with RHCP at age 18 (circa early 1990s) which precipitated his first psychotic break (i.e., schizophrenia).  He's a stellar guitar player and, in general, seems to be doing pretty well for himself in his 30s.  Kudos JF!!!

Was to surprised to hear this is the guitarist from the Chili Peppers.

No thanks, I've had lunch, I couldn't eat another thing. Or was that an imperative? Tricky, if so.
