I am going home I'm leaving
I feel the same like you
We are outnumbered by them
And now we are cornered by them
I feel for you
I feel for you
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
We strangle every feeling
We count the days 'til then
We are craving for a healing
Close your eyes and count to ten
I have no name for this
I can't go and give it a name
I want to stay near you I want to feel you near
I want the world to disappear
I feel for you
I feel for you
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
No traitor
Are we counterparts? Are we kindred souls?
We poke our hearts, we miss our goals
Scared of not getting there
We are not getting anywhere
The pearls remain trapped
All the pearls remain trapped but
I feel for you
I feel for you
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
I'm not an invader and I am no traitor
No traitor
No traitor
No traitor

14 years later and hearing this for the first time and I also like it a lot, call it an 8 so I can hear again in My Faves; Long Live RP and lowly rated songs that are actually pretty good!!
Between Goldfrapp and Anna Ternheim, not so original.
AnnakinAnnakin or Anakin is a given name and surname of Germanic origin. The name means "son of Anno" or “Son of the Eagle”. Anno is a variant of the Old High German given name "Arno" which means Eagle. Notable people with the surname include:
Chris Annakin (born 1991), British rugby league footballer
Ken Annakin (1914–2009), British film director
Doug Anakin (1930–2020), Canadian bobsleigher Thinking this isn't the band's Wiki entry...

I don't speak for everyone but I find this song relatable.

I knew it was annakin from the start, but I started thinking about Anna Ternheim while I listened, same cozy voice. =)
Bill, I've always admired the sense of flow, continuity and purpose in your sets and the segue from "Sentimental" by Porcupine Tree to this song was brilliant. The theme in the lyrics of the 2 songs and the spot-on musical transition just blew me away. Rarely do 2 songs in the same key work so well together. Adding Doves completes a perfectly dark suite. The song ratings may be "7's" or "8's" but the set you put together is "godlike."
I heard the opening and I thought "Imogene Heap? Cyndi Lauper? Vienna Teng? Is that you?"

I hope to hear more from Annakin. I'm not sure if I love it, or merely like it, yet.

Too bad you were sleeping.  If you had been awake, you might have liked it.
