I'm amazed at a quiet ocean
I'm amazed at your warm devotion
I'm amazed at what the people sayin'
I'm amazed by a divided nation

Like the rhythm of the earth, I get disrupted

I'm amazed at all that has been
I'm amazed at all that will be
I'm amazed at the tv stations
I'm amazed what they want me to believe

After all is said and done- where is the justice?

I'm amazed, the lack of evolution
I'm amazed at the lack of faith
I'm amazed at the love we're rejecting
I'm amazed what we accept in its place

Like the rhythm of the earth
And the rhythm of the ages
Like the rhythm, I get disrupted

I'm amazed
I'm amazed
Ah
Ah

Yeah, but that's not quite accurate.  Elected, yes, but also installed and hired by those who got to vote with oodles of dark money. Not quite the same. Let's not make the mistake again, or we'll be truly amazed, and not at all in a good way.
CONSUMED by politics much. ??  We come here to get away from your BS
Im amaaaaaaaaaazed Trump was elected!

Woah! Me too. And there it is. Dead centre. Lyrics. Duh.

(Although only 4 years on RP for me. Seems like all my life, though)
These guys are fast approaching mediocre.

The "Lyrics" button can help with that.  (Sorry, I'm in a terribly snarky mood this evening.)

I'm surprised they used a recording studio for this song rather than the bathtub microphone setup they usually employ.

I'm a fan but this album is a stinker.

I dig this tune...  Kind of hear TYA influence in it.  (that would be Ten Years After)

The beginning always reminds me of 'Walking on a Thin Line' by the Kinks.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet Emooooooooootion.
I'm amazed ... that I don't hate this song.

Yeah, I had no idea this was MMJ. They have better songs, like the one about "we used to be friends" for Veronica Mars. These guys are ballsy & talented.

isn't that the dandy warhols?  or did a joke just fly over my head?

I've been a rather severe critic of their recorded work from the beginning, but this one is very, very good. Reconsidering—which is what you want, yes?

Yeah, I had no idea this was MMJ. They have better songs, like the one about "we used to be friends" for Veronica Mars. These guys are ballsy & talented.
From their Wikipedia entry:

"James said the band's moniker comes from the letters "MMJ" embroidered on a discarded coat he once saw."

yeah, i've always wondered too...anyone know? I assumed it was drug-related, just cuz it's rocknroll.

The only song I really like from these guys, but it is a good one.
glurg.

Wondering why this band is named so..
I'm amaaaaaazed I gave this a 3

Now set at 2.
This would be fun to hear with The Real Tuesday Weld's "I Believe" - Kind of a similar rhythm.

I sure like this band.
Doesn't hurt anything that they're from Louisville, Kentucky (my home state), either. Rock on, y'all! {#Wave}

Great song, but dude needs to blow his nose before doing vocal takes.

My friend, Billy Joe Armstrong, wants to know what you have against adnoidal vocals.

first one that hooked me to MMJ. love it.
Sweet Emotion?
really like this song.  hate the rest of the record.
WXRT in Chicago has been playing this at least two times a day for the past 6 months. I used to love it and am now sick of it.
Great song, but dude needs to blow his nose before doing vocal takes.
my favorite that i've heard from this effort. hit me right away. love it.
Excellent song from a stellar CD. Jim James is an exceptionally talented artist.
Yeah.. This gets an overwhelming "meh" from me too..  I liked the other MMJ I heard yesterday (from the same, new release) though!

*I'm amazed* they dropped the reverb! They used to love that shit.

I give it an absolute 3....
as seen below meh
well, there goes my MMJ fanhood.
This is actually getting air play on the Radio in Atlanta... I was amazed!

I have to admit it has started to grow on me a bit.  I hear that right now they are one of the best bands to see live.

something is missing here.
