Bo Diddley buy his baby a diamond ring
If that diamond ring don't shine
He gonna take it to a private eye
If that private eye can't see
He better not take the ring from me

Bo Diddley caught a nanny goat
To make his pretty baby a Sunday coat
Bo Diddley caught a bear cat
To make his pretty baby a Sunday hat

Mojo come to my house, a black cat bone
And take my baby away from home
Ugly that mojo, where's he been?
Up to your house and gone again

Bo Diddley, Bo Diddley, have you heard?
My pretty baby said she wants a bird

When I was in Uni we used to do a chorus yelling " Hey Bo Diddley" to this song, I never knew it was the artists' name !

just heard this a few nights ago watching 'Vinyl'.

His guitar was so cool.
One of the building blocks of Rock and Roll.  Did anyone ever get more mileage from a singular beat?  Yeah, didn't think so.
What this sing did for rock and continues to this day is "Godlike"on the RP scale.
There's a way to walk down the street...like the way this song sounds.
There is a great interview with Bo Didley on the NPR American Routes show.  Check it out!
All righty then!
It gets no better than this.  Ultimate 10 from this corner.

Thank you, Bo Diddley for your massive influence on rock music!  The form would not have existed without you.

Perhaps there are more than one would think:  "Talk, Talk", "Black Sabbath", "Bad Company", "Green Day"...I guess there are more.  I hadn't really thought about that before.

My other internet alter ego is Squiddlydiddly. . . so I am bound to like this.
Bill, when you gonna take Warren Zevon's "Bo Diddley's A Gunslinger" out of the LRC and start playing it?

Just wonderin'..... {#Whistle}
I am always surprised when i see the date these songs came from. Still up to date!! Also this year we hear a lot of Elvis songs on radio here in Germany! Nice tune, by the way!!

How can that be if Bo Diddley recorded it ~ 15 years prior to MB?! Oops, does that mean Magic Buss is too much Bo Diddley? I think it might - at least, to you.....

Gave this a 9 but it's really a 9.4 in my book.....

Wait a minute now, you should be saying Bo Diddley, Bo Diddley to the Magic Bus tune. The Who were influenced greatly by Bo Diddley, not the other way around!{#No}
