Viens viens sur la montagne
Tout près du ciel j'ai ma maison
Viens viens sur la montagne
Là-haut il fait si bon

Pourquoi ces pleurs dans tes yeux
Viens avec moi viens
Laisse ici ton amour malheureux

Tes yeux tendres me font voir
Qu'à toi seul je tiens
Ne sois pas triste il n'est pas trop tard
Viens avec moi viens
Si tu veux bien prends ma main
Laisse moi je connais le chemin
Viens viens sur la montagne
Là-haut il fait si bon

Yep, confirmed. Your French is not that bad :)

I can confirm, lyrics are not what they're singing
Plus it's really hard to hear the lyrics through the music so I could not even make a full transcription
I'd like to hear more.  Thanks!

I assume you mean Wien's displacement law of 1893, not Wien's distribution law  of 1896 (which was promptly superseded by Planck's law). Either way, I have absolutely no idea what you mean.

Just On y voit pas instead On n'y voit pas! All is good from grammatical point of view, but if I was the girl I just accept if the singer is 10 years old :)

I don't think I've ever seen Wien's Law applied to music.  Not a bad tune; I like the description "dark cabaret" for this band.

Yea for us.  I missed out on the drawing to see them at the Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton.  :(  Oh well, next time.

I don't think I'll ever get to the place where I want to listen to accordions on Radio Paradise.  Too many discordant associations (Lawrence Welk, polka musicians in Lederhosen, etc.) just kill the vibe.
Damn. These guys are from Denver—like Colorado.

Agreed - catchy and intriguing. I wish I could hear the words properly to try my rusty French on them. Unfortunately, your comment has created an image in my mind of the bastard offspring of Leonard Cohen and Gogol Bordello which will take some throwing off... {#Stop}
Pas mon préféré.
I hadn't heard this before. It started playing, and I immediately started bobbing my head. I dig it.
Generally I like to say something positive or notable or insightful.  Bit this is a one-note yawn.  Even my dog left the room.   {#Cry}
tastes like barf after Take 5

...roger that!
It reminds me a lot of the Red Elvises, who were clever a decade and a half ago, but who aren't quite so interesting these days ... and yet who seem to me to be more creative.

It's not something I would want to listen to a lot. Don't mind the "lead squeeze-box" too much, but the heavy Slavic baseline starts to wear quickly, at least for me.

When it's on, I find myself turning RP down without realizing it.
To play accordian like that he must have the shakes!
Putin just locked up three very lovely devyotchkas for speaking out against his crimes.  What a sad thing.
Interesting lyrics ... Subversives!  :-)

I have no idea if the French lyrics or English translation are worth a damn:

Reminds me of Tom Cora and the EX. Something you'd see at the Knitting Factory.
a very subversive tune...i like it

5 with bonus for French lyrics.
What a GREAT set of music!.... again!
I really like were this is going, but unfortunately it's just not getting there...
Please keep trying.

Good energy and I like the combo of unlikely instruments and ambience
This one got me out of my chair dancing.  Let's boogie!{#Bananajam}
My only guess is that RP is being paid a subsidy today from the Bayer aspirin company to attempt to boost their sales. My head hurts listening to some very strange music today, indeed. Guess it would be cheaper to change channels for a while. CLICK!
I always picture an exhausted accordion player, dripping with sweat, collapsing at the end of this song.   He must have some sore arms!
I rarely post any negative comments.  But this one just drags it out of me.  I celebrate RP for it's diversity and eclectic mix of songs. But this one drives me up the wall.  Looking at the range of what other folks feel about this song, it seems I am in the minority.  But I can't wait for it to be over.
um NO.

Agreed. The accordion is this song is nice.

This song always makes me think of PacMan.    {#High-five}
I find it rather boring.....
They sound like arcade fire!
Let's dance!  Um, really, really fast.  I dunno - there's some serious mastery of the instruments, and a lot of passion. I can't help nodding in time, tapping my foot... Giving this a five until I hear it in other contexts.
I'm not so sure of the found noise segments, or I'd rate it higher, but it's still quite catchy.
More...accordion.
This reminds me of Oi Va Voi — a group DEFINITELY worth checking out!
Awesome!   {#Bounce}

Non-traditional?  All those insruments have at least a hundred years of tradition on the electric guitar. (Except for the theremin)   {#Bananajam}

Anyway, I like when traditional instruments are used! This one is most enjoyable..

My in-laws are getting back from Paris this week. This is just making me more jealous! {#Frustrated}
A little weird. Love it! {#Motor} < Chopper dood's head bobs to this tempo.

Kinda reminds me of the trippy fire-and-brimstone Christian band Sixteen Horsepower in a weird way...

But in French!

LOVE this band, and their music!
(and that "bellows-shake" on the accordion!!)
Country and western kletzmer in French?
I'm looking for a reason I shouldn't bump this to 10...

I like this one even though it's kinda odd.

cool song
I have an 8 for this song, so I must like it.  Waiting to hear why I gave it that rating
note: I turned it up and figured it out.  Cool song I think
{#Foot-in-mouth}   Comme une sabotiere = danse hollandaise aux sabots de bois.

reminds me of 16 Horse Power.
This is what happens when you give a Tibetan throat singer some vodka.  DeKitchKa.

Actually, I don't dislike it, but some of the chord changes seem out of place and surprising—worse, weird and not overly enjoyable—given the (apparent) ethnic-geo-political-whatever background of this music. Oh, but call me close-minded, dwelling in the rut of banal characterization.
Love this.
My beloved caught them live without me. :pout:
These guys are just too cool. They remind me a  little of The Gotan Project, whom I also dig mucho.
Bill has been rocking the accordion all day.  Actually hasn't been bothering me.  Has anyone else noticed?
{#Dancingbanana}{#Bananapiano}{#Bananasplit}
Reminds me of early Yello... {#Dancingbanana}
Nice to see these guys getting some national recognition the last few years.  I don't know if they still do this, but back in the day they would have burlesque dancers swinging from the ceiling while they play.  Nothing like Nick Urata chugging a bottle of wine, playing theremin, while his half naked girlfriend swings from the rafters.  Their best album is "Una Volta" if you're looking to check out more of their stuff.
They're opening for David Byrne at Red Rocks this summer. Might have to try to make that one...

This is going to be intresting...
{#Bananasplit}{#Bananasplit}

Got to have a dance nana..

i dig the finger snapping
Je suis en accord avec l'àccordion. This is like Leonard Cohen releasing a Cajun EP produced by Elvis Costello.
Lenny sings in French you know. My homie and I learned it in Montreal, where we both grew up.

kinda makes me want to get up and dance {#Bananasplit}

At low volume I though this was a Slavic reinterpretation of "Godless" {#Lol}

the last 30 seconds of the track are best.  its a concept piece that needs more work.  i wont give up on the band, but in its current form, this song is worth of air play no more than once or twice a year.
Thank you for turning it off finally!
