Since you're gone, I sat at home
Wonder why no I'll never be free
But the thought of you
Goin with another guy
No, it could never be me
You took a ring and pawned our love away
What can I say, I am left behind
So I take a drink, another cigarette
I can't forget that you once were mine

What can I say?
I guess it wasn't meant to be
Now you're gone,
It's just, your love is like a drug

It's been so long
Your folks have bet you gone
I know that you're alive inside
So I hope and pray you won't throw this love away
I just wish that you still were mine

again, good quality this morning.
thanks Bill!
Where do you buy this song?  I see the album on Itunes and Amazon-14 songs, none of them are Like a Drug.  Would really like to have this one.

Isn't this band usually a heavy rocker band similar to Audioslave / STP / Soundgarden?

A couple of hours of the good stuff...what more can a body ask, I ask?
Incredibly diverse band with Josh Homme's guitar leading the way.

Love the song, it just took a while to find it!

It's on my Lullabies to Paralyze CD (Australian), I believe it's also on the European release.

The first half of that movie was great. I have never seen a movie take such a plunge off the deep end so hard after the midpoint. Argh.

Sounds like it's recorded in one take off the floor, so to speak. Whether it was or not, I do like this!

Likely it was! Thats the sound Queens goes for.

Not many spins but this could easily move into long term heavy rotation.  As usual, thanks RP!

Thanks Bill! This is a great QOTSA B-side. Their cover of Tom Waits is excellent too. Chris
