Too many people are all flippin' against this guy's music. As is often said, every time this comes on, I look up. That's why I keep the player where I can see it...
He looks so.... so distant and conflicted and a little pissed like, "Who the F*** put my Steinway in this field!"
The only thing that makes this song bearable is singing Gowan's "Criminal Minds" over the top of it. Loudly. Almost works...
Yet another particularly effective segue (this time from Coldplay, Cemeteries Of London) by the Seguemeister. Kudos!

Oh, and I should have said... I'm not pretentious enough to think that music I consider crappy is not something other people may enjoy and be touched by. But I think that, in general, this pop piano music is really over-hyped and extrodinarlly dilluted from what piano music should be. For example, try listening to Rachmaninov's second piano concerto a few times--then come back and listen to "Woods of Chaos". See what you think then.
And also, 1wolfy-- Not that you took it that way, but I didn't mean the other comments to be insulting. :)

Yeah this is nice, but I'm unclear as to why this is in fairly heavy rotation, while there is tons of other great solo piano music out there that we don't hear at all.
Still, it's nice.

The mood of the song and the title don't go together at all, which is too bad because it's a cool title. I think this should be called "Woods of a Fair Amount of Organization."

RP: a soundtrack for life. I've been on a road trip this week and enjoyed this piece earlier in the week and now it's playing again just after I've checked into a very pleasant hotel in Santa Monica. Unlike the previous poster, I'll never have a downer associated with this.
The main event on the trip was a conference in Vegas and, woa, on Monday Apocalyptica - another RP rated band - played there so I just had to go along. Mad....
I don't dislike this - but everytime I hear it, it puts me in an absolute downer mood!!

Sounds like a student of George Winston. Very, very listenable.
Reminds me much of Tori Amos without the vocal accompaniment.

Love the lack of Gaussian blur on the piano superimposed on the field though ... he should have just left rough edges to make it look like it was literally ripped from a catalogue and taped onto the photo.
That being said the dude can play better than me & I don't mind the music

Yeah, the Photoshop job on the piano is quite bad - to look realistic, the feet should be sunk into the dirt.
I too thought this was George Winston; it sounds very much like on of the tracks on his Autumn.
He has the sheet music to just one of his songs available online for $3.95. I expect I'll buy it soon.

Agreed. The instant I heard this George Winston wannabe again I remembered your comment from last time. That is the WORST photoshopping job ever. Weekly World News bad. My 13 year old has learned photoshop so he can make custom sprays for TF2 and could do better. (TF2 heads will know of what I speak)

Yanni is all about over-produced orchestrations behind his hack keyboard "work." Rob Costlow can actually play the piano. Big difference.

Even though both modern "woods" and "irons" are some kind of composite, and the "woods" usually get called drivers now, the stroke and usage for "woods" is still more or less the same as the original all-wood clubs.
