3:25 min too long. Very boring.
WAIT A MINUTE! You didn't announce it was Nap-time...

Yay. A Hang drum! I have serious hang drum envy, as does Mrs Poacher. Our dream is for a matching pair of them for Poacher mansions. . . but on the basis they go for £3,000 each second hand and you can't buy them new it is going to be a while.

Luckily, there are other people now making similar drums so all is not lost.

I have a friend with a Hang.  It was a gift to him from the person who made it (I don't know the details, some people have all the luck/connections).  I got the chance to play with it over the span of a week when we were camped out together at a gathering.  It was a lot of fun to explore, and I experimented with it enough to know that I'm not a natural on the Hang, so it's not depressing to me that I can't have one.

I think there are good aspects and bad with respect to people who are fortunate enough in life to be motivated by other things besides money.  In another situation there would be enormous pressure on them to mass produce these things simply because there is a perceived market.  I am very sure that many Hang owners got their instruments as gifts, in a different world from the one where people buy them for thousands of pounds  (and even with that kind of money on offer, were declined).

Another track with a Hang

Silicon Valley geek music.

After Eric Clapton - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (l it's especially yawtacular.

Ok, think I've heard this one too many times now... I can actually envision a man in an owl costume doing interpretive dance. Very unsettling image.

Okay, I totally suck at analyzing a song beyond the "Fire bad, tree pretty" criteria. I like this song. My foot taps, my head nods, and my fingers type in rhythm to the beat.

Coat me in candy and call me a sucker.{#Daisy}

You're too hard on yourself. I agree with everything you said...except for the 'sucker' part. :)
Hang drum elitists suck!

Sugarfree jazz.  {#Meditate}
I know it's elevator music-y,but it's still pretty cool.
I like shaved jazz.
Rhythm part is good. I can take or leave the rest.
There are no elevators in Zionsville, In, not that I have seen?  maybe at a retirement community? just curvy roads...

Smooth jazz from another country.

You hear smooth jazz here?  Funny, I didn't, and I have a very keen smooth jazz radar.  Will have to listen again.

Smooth jazz is an oxymoron, by the way. But you knew that.

Fun, I like it.

Smooth jazz from another country.

But wait, they're from San Francisco?  Oh well, that comment just went into nonsequiter mode immediately.  Nothing to see here, move along...

Hmmm...I think I'm digging this. Growing on me.

Maybe it is just my mood this afternoon, but I am just digging the hell out of this setlist.  Thanks Bill! {#Cheers}
Any connection to Joe Venuti?
Nice one Bill G. The last three songs just slid in and out of each other so well, J.J. Cale -Ride Me High, Matt Venuti & The Venusians - Owl Man Dance & Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street.
Nice to hear a Hung on RP...I waited many years to get mine....
Ah — you're correct.  It's called Owl Song Man.  My bad.   The CD and/or downloads are available here: https://cdbaby.com/cd/mvvenusians

Very imaginative set this morning, Bill.

Way to go.
One of those songs that's great while it's playing - really relaxing and chilled...  but it's a long way from being memorable!  It finished 30seconds ago and I already forgot how it went. Beepity boopity boo.

A nice solid 6, if you ask me.

Which you must have, at some point.
Midi music can be good
n.i.c.e.....

I think I need better drugs to 'get' this
Having a hard time getting past the name of the band. Venusians? Really?
Great song for late evening hours...
Not bad, but it'd be much easier to swallow without the synth flute... or whatever that is. That thing just washes out the rest of the song. The spanish guitar makes up for it, but not enough. 6, 8 without the flute.
I was in the middle of writing an email and this song was so interesting that I had to stop and see who/what is was. Very nice and a bit quirky.
I have this on my list of want-to-buys. Nice stuff.
very pleasant track, a definite "could buy"
Reminds me of the Air song "Universal Traveller", off the Walkie Talkie album
Alucinante!!!!!
This one is dedicated to MBE.
Definitely growing on me. Wish I was at home in bed listening to this. Helps cover this crappy Chicago weather right now.

Agreed... would make a tasty combo.

An Air (the band) knockoff + Guitar (the instrument) = This.
I'm owl for hearing this more often.

very charming
