How about "Video Killed the Radio Star"?
In case you haven't heard "Sparkle And Shine" from this album, it's probably the coolest love song I've ever heard.
Alright, I'm waiting for Wall of Voodoo "Mexican Radio" next!
He sounds like a young John Prine.
...i wonder if i were to start a microbroadcast station using soup cans and kite string, if the powers-that-be would come after me for royalties?..

I agree - almost as bad as Big Sky Country
this song is seriously bad
This song is really starting to grow on me. Find myself singing it to myself a lot. Cool.

I've heard one of his songs as a musical intro in TV coverage of NBA games, and I understand that General Motors used a song from The Revolution Starts Now on one of their commercials.
Sirius Satellite Radio Ch. 18 seems to be rather fond of this tune. I don't normally like Steve Earle, but I kinda like this one.

i hate this song so much. it makes my head hurt. whenever it comes on, i am dying for it to be over. (and i like most everything played, at least a little)

This sounds like it was written for a commercial. It's a really stupid, inane song. 1,2,3 on the satellite radio ?..yuk! Stupid lyrics and the guitar sounds like it's a loop-very boring This is embarrasingly bad
Neat to think about all the seriousness and sweat that went into the construction and launch of these satellites - and we allow people to use it for this. I'm out here, and I'm listening.
Well I'm getting Sirius.
steve earle is the quintessential singer/songwriter who deviates from the pathetic commercial norm thank goodness. satellite radio is no exception. it isn't just the sound, it is the attitude. he pulls no punches. he doesn't care what you like. yes, he is allegedly egotistical. satellite radio might be interpreted as the musings of some unnoticed show host looking for recognition and fame, just a bit player in the big universe; and not unlike most fantasies of grandeur we all embrace at one time or another, eh? this song is yet another example of earle's genius and versatility in interpreting and expressing the human condition, as is the whole album. some complain about repetition in satellite radio but remember that pachelbel's canon is comprised of a few different repetitive notes and it is one of the most loved of classical pieces. as one comment indicated, earle just gets better. "the revolution starts now" was magical and "washington square serenade" goes one step further. as with all his albums, they must be judged in toto, not piecemeal. as with anything, overplay, overuse, overindulge and humans get bored; as my buddy always said: "everything in moderation, except adultery." see once you have crossed the proverbial line, well, then....
Not anyway on the satellite radio ... just on Radio Paradise 24/7 Keep it going good Steve See you next Friday at Printer's Alley

Snore.
Maybe Bill asked himself that very same question at one time.
good cruisin' song
My first rating was 8. I just dropped it to a 6. Over time, this song is just getting annoying...
I pretty much like anything by Steven Earl. I pretty much like any song about radios, because I LOVE the radio. Very cosmic, very spiritual
Too drone-y for me.

Not sure what I think of this. What sort of music would you call it?
I'd call it yucky, yucky, crappy poop.
Nicey goodie good dancy grovin music-like
this is very cool. I've liked him since the beginning, but he seems to improve with age (seems it's usually the other way around)
Better than any of his previous stuff...never been a fan, but this one bops waaay better.
Ah yes. It was time for this song.
Not sure what I think of this. What sort of music would you call it?
Wonder if he gets to play it on his show?
Insipid subject matter. And the style and instrumentation just ROCKS. Some folks can make anything swing.
Gosh, Bill, can't imagine why you'd like a song like this. :) Rocks the house.
