Here's the point: Four years into the conflict in Darfur, conditions continue to deteriorate for the civilian population of this war-torn region. To date, as many as 400,000 civilians have been killed. Up to 2.5 million Darfuris have been forced to leave their homes and now live in camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) throughout Darfur, or in refugee camps in neighboring Chad and the Central African Republic. While significant political developments have taken place over the past months, the daily agony of Darfuri civilians continues unabated.

Indeed. But good cause aside, this is as lifeless and disinterested as their cover of Dancing Barefoot, and that's really saying something. Talk about phoning it in. It's especially unforgivable given that this was an AI project. And on this of all Lennon songs, U2 ought to be showing us something ... that is, if they have anything left to show, and I'm beginning to have serious doubts about that.
I was half-listening to this in the background...would never have guessed that it was U2.

So let's  for them.

I don't know what you people are talking about. This is actually a decent cover! Which is quite surprising, because usually when U2 does a cover the results are lame at best and embarrasing at worst.
that was pretty awful.

No, it does not. Blech. It's an ok cover. But unless a cover is better than "ok" it doesn't have much reason to exist.
Exactly the same as the original. Why did they even bother?
I want to like this more than I do...not U2-ish enough. It barely even sounds like Bono. :eh:
This is blasphemy. Terrible.
Absolutely nothing intersting about this at all and I like U2.

I bought this. There are some fantastic versions and some less fantastic, but still good. One too many versions of Imagine. Ben Harper's version of Beautiful Boy made me cry.
What did they add to this song? Nothing! Even the drum beat is identical.

Can someone bring me a bucket?
No, no, no - and I like U2.
NO! no! NO!!!!!!!!! Forgive them John, for they know not what they do.
Highly skeptical of this, or any other cover of this tune. It's just too strongly identified with John, IMHO.
Nope.
It's all too beautiful...
