I love Ron Sexsmith, but I can not in good conscience give this any more than a 7, only because I know of many better Ron songs.

Another great best-kept secret Canadian singer-songwriter. He's playing as I type here tonight in Ottawa at the Bronson Centre. He was once touted as Elvis Costello's protege.

I used to live one block east of the first combination bookstore and coffee shop in the US.  It was a place called Nickleby's in Grandview (suburban Columbus).  I think Barnes & Noble caught on to the idea shortly afterward.  Nickleby's eventually folded.

I like this song. I seemed to remember another song being promoted as the "hit" (as indy music circles go) of the album. Does RP have anything from 'Cobblestone Runway'? That one's probably my favorite Sexsmith CD.

Good song but far from the best one on this album. Ron is at least a generation too late. If he'd surfaced in the late 60's his name would be mentioned in the same breath with all the big boys of that era. A truly amazing talent. All his albums are great.

Ron Sexsmith opened for Madelaine Peyroux in Fort Lauderdale about six months ago. I had never heard of him, but liked him immediately, more than Peyroux. Great lyrics!

OMG - Ron Sexsmith on RP! Awesome - perhaps the topicality of the song is what helped it get through the brutal culling process. Great song from a great (and underplayed) artist. Yay.
