Hah same here. I think I upped it 2 points for  that very cheese factor.

Dean & Britta is a musical duo consisting of Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, both former members of Luna. Wareham had formed Luna in 1992 after leaving his first band, Galaxie 500. Phillips joined Luna in 2000, replacing bassist Justin Harwood.

I thought it was Luna. Was the singer in Luna in a previous life?

at least not like sonny and cher

Me too. Up to 8 this morning - although I've bumped a lot of 'em up this morning. Maybe it's the mood.

Thought this was Lambchop for sure.

You're right. Trust your instincts. Lamb Chop had to go underground years ago.

I, on the other hand, excitedly went "Ooo. That sounds like Hope-Whats-Her-Name from Mazzy Star!!"
Nice groove. Kinda mimics a reverse path of Buckingham/Nicks (to FM vs. this pair from Luna). Look similar, IMO.
Is that the voice of Mr. Rogers? Nah. Couldn't be...
Petulla Clark and Lou Reed, together again!
I was lucky enough to meet Dean & Britta when they were in town the other night. They're very cool in person and the new stuff is great! Check them out live if you have a chance.
Thought I'd heard that groove before...kinda Yo La Tengo-ish but -- turns out these two were with Luna, whose songs I have looked up on RP while thinking the same thing... Love the connectedness of all things, especially tunes on RP!

Hmmm produced by Tony Visconti of T.Rex and David Bowie fame.
Someone please tell me that that is not Hope Sandovals voice-
Beautiful people. Pretty music. 7
Boring.
Sounds like Yo La Tengo...
... just bori
Sounds like a collaboration between Mazzy Star, Kid Loco, and Leonard Cohen
This is pretty cool stuff.
Thought this was Lambchop for sure.

Love child of Lou Reed and Jane Birkin? Hmm pass the opium and the massage oil baby....
Workmanlike P-bass, cutie.
These two need to get over themselves.
Is the website down? I can't connect, and my browser is showing the same song being played for the past hour or so. Thanks...Ed
Lovely indeed.

Maybe if I was in a 'kitschy' mood....but in the office this is just inappropriate and doesn't excatly fit to the entire set this morning (which is nearly perfect in my eyes).
Someone is channeling Donovan...
A bit kitschy, but pleasant in Lunar way Definitely the highlight of the CD.
The version of Sumo is better
Soooo...that's not Hope Sandoval? Definite Mazzy Star sound to her backing vocals. That is NOT a bad thing.
My interest has been piqued.
Very nice!
indeed they are. Dave_Mack wrote:
Are they the ruins of Luna? I was gonna say they sound just like 'em, complete with the poor noodling guitar playing. AMG says, "yup".
