What was I thinking? Bump 8 > 9.  The phrasing and finger work are off the charts. Well, he's one of the greatest acoustic players, it's almost an auto 9.  Followed by Santana, love ya Bill.
He (Santana, not Bill) was rated in a recent Rolling Stone article as # 11 on the top 250 -- and still underrated if he's not in the top 10. Santana's Luz Amor y Vida is a companion to Paco's Alma, Corazon y Vida in more than language.

"... the Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, who played with de Lucia on the 1995 hit song Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?"

I am glad to belong to a generation who lived with great talents like him. {#Clap}

What a great celebration of musical sensibility! Yes, it's sad he passed from this realm - but no question that he left it richer for his Art!
So sad about the recent loss of this beautiful master of flamenco guitar.  We've been listening to him a lot these last several days...somehow satisfying to hear him on RP.

Thanks Bill.
Rest in peace and thanks for the good times Señor Francisco Sanchez Gomez…aka Paco de Lucia.

According to AMG, the album is from 1994.
The picture seems 20 years older.

Luckily, the music is CLASSIC.

This album came out in 1969.

Although I love this guy ever since I saw him for the first time in the 70s, many people would say that Joaquín Rodrigo is the greatest Spanish Guitarrist of all time.
WOW listen to those fingers go!!

Nice
Much better than supertramp..."psd" button you saved me life.

Oh dear, spoke too soon: now it's Eddie Vedder moaning and muttering through "You Are."  Spock, must...mute...or die...

I was thinking he looks like someone my wife would have dated before she met me.

Una música muy bonita!
From the superb to the Godlike. Mind numbing skill!
The greatest Spanish (from Spain) guitarist of all times.
