Y'all have no idea about the replacements and how they thought and were. They were snotty, loud mouth, selfish drunks who wrote great music. So to hear westerberg giving some one shit about them GIVING HIM shit about doing something he isn't suppose to do is probably typical behavior from him and the others back then.

Someone finally gets it!!!!!

Babysit.  The self-important business travelers who know the rules but don't really think they apply to them.  The rude, obnoxious drunks who think an airplane is their neighborhood bar.  The amateurs who have no idea how things work, and are all pissy because they had to stand in line a little bit and the flight was delayed and they have a middle seat instead of a whole row.

After many hundreds of thousands of miles in the air I can tell you that FA is one job I'm not cut out for.  I have a low tolerance for morons and whiny jackasses.

i love the music in here but hate the interrupting man-voice:( it spoils all:(.
yuk just mean spirited

Me too. LOVE 'EM!

Replacements are great but this song was always down their list.
Neat riff on Johnny Rivers's "Mountain of Love."

C for clueless. I for irony deficient. So many others.... OTOH, yeah, I would pay to see one of these "waitresses" nail Westerberg square in the nuts with her knee. Would serve the bastard right.

Ha! Nice one! Some people are just WAY too EARNEST! ...."God was drunk when he made me... But that's alright, 'coz I forgive him!"

I'm with Sarah on this one. The guy is pissed off because he can't smoke and get drunk on the plane. Boo-hoo, cry me a river. If you want better service, quit being an jerk. ;-)

King Arthur: "Who are you who can summon fire without flint or tinder?" "There are some who call me... Tim. "

This song's rhyme pattern makes me think of the 60s tune i>Mountain of Love, recorded by Johnny Rivers (you know, of Secret Agent Man fame)
The Replacements can do little wrong in my book. My, oh, my. Edit: I went to Junior High in Wayzata, but never got into the Mats until I was living in Seattle when "Pleased to Meet Me" came out and made me a convert.
Love this song . . . flashback to high school in Minneapolis. . .
It wasn't boycotted, it was just promoted from the LRC to the main playlist this week. treatment_bound wrote:
Another great 'Mats cut curiously boycotted by the RP playlist gurus. Come on guys! How can you resist a song with lines like this? >>"Pay my fare, don't want to complain. You get to me, you're always out of champagne".
