this song is pretty much my autobiography.

I really like the entire CD. It is particularly relevant for me having just gone through a nasty break-up that resulted in a slew of name-calling and accusations. The song is somewhat representative of the rest of the CD, however, to the extent that it deals with relationships. It's a rather somber CD in many ways, but sometimes in a tongue in cheek way like the track "Cheer up, you miserable f*%k" Overall I recommend it!

Yeah, very Damien, but also reminiscent of Gerald Collier. Anyone know him? Maybe I should re-rip some of his cd's in a higher quality and upload them. Really some delightfully depressing music.

I agree on all of the Damien comparisons, which is exactally why I am really liking this. Both sound pleeding and sincere, and for lots of reasons I'm diggin it.

I hear ya...the "Profanity Filter" is my own pet theory, unsubstantiated by actual facts That said - think about it - how many songs can you name on RP that have more than 1 or 2 "offcolor" words in it. Every once in a great a while I'll hear _one_ sneak through, but generally I think B&R try to keep RP "G-rated", which I _do_ appreciate. Despite that, sometimes a well chosen, well placed, non-gratuitous expletive can make a point that 80 pages of verse won't capture. DownHomeGirl wrote:

I uploaded David Ford's "State of the Union" which is an even better track off this album (with much more passion than this one, BTW). However, my theory is that it got rejected by Bill's profanity filter ;-) which is fine - but at least it was heartfelt profanity, apropos of the times. There are 2 or 3 good tracks (I Don't Care...being one of them) from this CD - I bought the import directly from David Ford's site a while back. Highly recommended album. Don't judge by this tune, though it's still pretty good. Solid work from a rising artist. And the emotion here and elsewhere is genuine, I can assure you.

Don't know if I agree totally about the "faked" part. I think that is a bit subjective. But I did learn a new word: "somniferous". On that I agree - if you're already sleepy, especially so.
