I've been where the sun don't shine
I've been where the trees have all died
I've been where there's no pathway or door
And I'm not afraid anymore
Been in a place where no one believes
The things that I said
Or the vision I'd see
So I had to protect my life
And not be afraid anymore
Fear is not real unless you want it be
At a level of yourself
It serves some need
You can let it go
Or hold on till the end
It's all up to you my friend
I've been where the sun don't shine
I've been where the trees have all died
I've been where there's no pathway or door
And I'm not afraid anymore
I've been where the trees have all died
I've been where there's no pathway or door

I like this, but don't hear The Beatles influence anywhere

I hate the dialogue surrounding which the artist ripped off the other artist. These are properly considered students. Naturally the student will reflect the offerings of the artists they admire. This how music evolved: passed down to students which, in turn, contributes to the students' future compositions. That being said, Led Zepplin defininitely ripped off Spirit in "Stairway to Heaven."

If Three Dog Night has Broken Bells and they get fixed, then they are No Bells.
Is this what you get if the Broken Bells get fixed?
(I do like it, btw)

Ozzies have such a good sense for music (ha -- like, I mean, always!). I love this group like I love and miss Oz. Melbourne and Vic probably stole my heart, mind, & soul most, but I loved it all. Hey, great tune!
"Country goth." I love the new pasted together "this ain't like anything I've heard before" genre names.

This is great! Better than the other songs from this album that RP has played.
The intro totally psyched me out thinking it was 'Preston Miller'

Im hearing it TOO!! so much so, I thought that it was a new Over The Rhine CD.. At first I was dissappointed but have decided to be happy to have found a new band to listen to.
Thanks RP
No, the voice is completely different, but the phrasing is similar. So take your pick: rhythm or tone.

It's an A minor chord, strummed with a "hammer-on" technique. That sort of folk-music strumming goes back to medieval days - look up Nottamun Town, or more recently, Dylan's Masters Of War.
"A working class hero is something to be..." if you want to be a hero just rip off a guitar riff from me..

Reminds me of Gomezs' FEAR song. In a good way.

Backup singer??? She's got a really nice voice for lead. Are you implying that female vocalists should be relegated to backup?
ok, i gave it a listen.....she does have a nice quality to her voice, she can be a good backup singer....it's just not so impressive
There is a dreamy quality to this.
Blimey...
LOVE her voice. Heavenly.
Now compare this to some of those "other" single singer girls...this has some real substance to it, interesting musical backgrounds.....very like able!
Where's "Setting Sun"?!!
Both familiar and unique at the same time.

The guitar riff remindsme of The "Faithful" redition of Lennon's "A working class hero"
Exactly what I was going to say ("A Working Class Hero"). It's just about identical. Sorry for adding a redundant comment, but MAN! I was expecting Lennon's voice before the percussion snuck in.

I don't know, but I love their name!!
Love the ethereal feel to this. But MAN it is Short!
Wow, that one got over quick...
More bells Bill!

...and me of Neko Case. Like the vocals, like the cover, the lyrics are pretty good...but as others have said, the guitar riff is basically note-for-note Working Class Hero. (and Lennon does it better)

As soon as you're born they make you feel.... uh.... plagiarized.
You can listen the whole album at NME.COM on their media player
Hoorah, we are all free now...
Wow, $30 at Amazon. Guess I'll put in on my wishlist.

Intro riff stolen from Working Class Hero, by John Lennon. I don't think the tone works with her "nice" voice.
Well, REM's "Swan, Swan, Hummingbird" also intros with the same chords/guitar notes, basically.
