This is the first Calexico song I've heard that I thought was really poor. But they've done enough good stuff to allow for one poor offering.

Have to agree. This disc is not bad, but the "edges" have definitely been smoothed out a bit. Feast of Wire is much, much better in my opinion.

OK song, but like the rest of the album, it's just not 'Calexico'. I know it's good for a band to grow and explore different styles, but in doing so I think Calexico have lost the thing that made them different from so many other bands.
