The fire's out of control
They're lined up at the water hole
It's easy here on our own (I'm doing the best I can, I'm doing the best I can)
It's easy when no one's home

Come take me out of here
There's no one that don't fear
Looked forwards, the earth stood still
Looked backwards, I had my fill

All the people
Lonely people
All your saviours
Only saviours
All the people
Lonely people

I can't see their eyes
I can't see their eyes

This is a story from a friend of mine
This is a story from a broken time
All the people
Lonely people
All your saviours
Only saviours

Too right, friend.  Sounds to me like the love child of 78 Saab and Great Lake Swimmers.  I really like it, though.

By the way, we lost Mark Hollis today, aged only 64.
First time hearing this. Beautiful.
Great song. Strongly reminds me of 60's band Spirit
Reminiscent of early-90s shoe-gaze rock.

Yes! Another great band discovered here on RP - read about them, sad 78 Saab just gave up after 20 years without huge commercial success.

This is a great segue from Beck — Nobody's Fault But My Own.

Real Nice Groove

Yeah, it is.  Nice production too, especially the guitar sound.
Victoria, BC, eh?

More brand new music, thanks to RP!

Once again, after not hearing this for a long time, I am blown away by its killer builds and jams. It reminds me of lots, yet rocks anew...
Oh yeah very nice indeed
That's good...

It's funny—I took a one-year break from listening to RP because my computer kept dropping the station.  During that time, I stopped ordering new CD's, and was listening to one of the good local radio stations online.

This month, I started listening to RP again, and have ordered 6 new CD's in the past two weeks, adding to my collection of hundreds of CD's that would have NEVER been purchased without the existience of Radio Paradise.
Music Industry—mark my words—stations like Radio Paradise are your best hope at surviving. Treat them well.

Agree with your Agree, djengs.

{#Yes}

I like everything I've heard from these guys so far.

Anyone else hear VAST influences?

Better question: Is VAST old enough or known enough to be influential?

Agree - although I can't help being reminded of "All the lonely people" by America.
I guess I'm the only one that thought this was sort of Beatlesque, (although not in a slavish way).  I like it!{#Daisy}

Yeah, I agree. I thought that this was a B-side off the new album or something. Sounds just like their newest CD.
Are you guys sure this isn't "Lost" by Vast?
chillin
Quite nice..

Me too. I've never heard of this band before so for a second I was all excited "Is this some super secret Thom Yorke side-project I don't know about?!" Oh well...
I could have sworn this was Thom Yorke.

Thanks for the heads up on that. What a great perspective: a band that totally embraces the idea of music lovers driving music distribution rather than the shitty RIAA.
Indeed! I just downloaded the whole album from their site. The band suggested $5 for the album, which is a complete bargain. I paid that, and added another $5 to encourage the initiative.

Thanks for the heads up on that. What a great perspective: a band that totally embraces the idea of music lovers driving music distribution rather than the shitty RIAA. They even go so far as to say that "the record business needs to adapt as soon as possible to a changed world." A concept I'm sure is also shared by Bill and Rebecca...?

That's probably because no-one is BUYING this shit.
Good call, Tux. That also probably explains why they just played at South by Southwest in Austin this year. Only shitty bands there, huh?
Jets Overhead rule because they are from Canada. Also they are great because I wrote them an email and they wrote back and because they played with the Dandy Warhols.
I like the way the two vocal parts weave together...nicely done.

Reminds me alittle of Chris Isaak.... this would be nice to listen to while walking alone on a deserted beach on a foggy day.
Sounded a little like Dirty Vegas at the beginning. Nice tune

It's not Coldplay OR Radiohead-like. It's like Jets Overhead! Very good find, Bill.
Very Radioheadlike ..

About 1/100th as good as the Dear Prudence that preceded it but fortunately it's also 100 times as long so it evens out.
Dang good stuff... like the way it fits right in, slides nicely with the rest of the set...
I bought this disc on the strength of one song. Took a chance, what can I say...Guess what? It's real good. I now see Jets Overhead!!!!
i can't see their eyes...

Never heard this before, but I like it! Dreamy...nice on this sunny summer afternoon, just drifting away....
