Are you blind?
Blind to me trying to be kind?
Volunteering for your firing line
Waiting for one precious sign
The flicker of a smile
You should try it just once in a while
It's simply too easy to do
And you might not see it through
See it through

Find yourself another place to fall
Find yourself up against another brick wall
See yourself as a fallen angel
Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

Are you proud?
To have founded a brand new behavior
With hatred and hurt as your savior
But nobody's choosing to follow
So you choke back the tears and you swallow
Men who have ruined your life
You consume them with minimum strife
But now you have got indigestion
The antacid comes as a question

Find yourself another place to fall
Find yourself up against another brick wall
See yourself as a fallen angel
Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

There isn't much more I can say
For I don't understand the delay
You're asking for friendly advice
And remaining in permanent crisis
Affection is yours if you ask
But first you must take off your mask
When you're backs turned I've decided
I'll throw it away just like I did

Find yourself another place to fall
Find yourself up against another brick wall
See yourself as a fallen angel
Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

Well I don't see no holes in the road but you
Find another place to fall

I like this, but it sounds like a copy of many other bands all rolled up into one.
She is great, this one.

Yes, it's always nice to hear KT Tunstall.

So much talent..gotta love it.
I remember watering the plants at the local nursery last year, and listening to the Bob and Tom show on the radio, through headphones. They had Ms. Tunstall in the studio, and she did the most incredible, wonderful performance, explaining a lot of things. And she was so funny, she had B&T stupefied. She's rather astonishing, in addition to being talented and worldly-wise.

I'm a total fan. This gets a 9, only because I know she's done better work that will get a 10. Rock on, KT - you've earned your kudos!{#Sunny}
I was up in Orkney last week where yer woman will be playing in August, and tix for her gig sold out within minutes, with folk queuing from 6am to get them from a local record shop. Not surprising as she's very popuplar up in Scotland, and indeed elsewhere. I'd love to see her live but fat chance that she'll come down to the deep South.

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love this. KT's music would be some of the only music I would consistently vote 11/10 - her voice is simply sublime to listen to, she's a talented singer songwriter and (as a Brucie Bonus) she's not offensive to look at either!

Everything about her musical creations chimes with me on many levels, and I can't believe that ETTT came out six years ago. I still listen to it several times a week. Blimey.
another RP song that seems as though it were written out f my own life, except for the way it is so beautifully and poetically put
... WOW
...
Thank u KT

Her performance is outstanding.  For such a physically small person, she has dominating stage presence.  I said exactly the same thing, the first time I saw Ani DiFranco.  She shares that special something with her, as a live performer.
Wow. Didn't even recognize this as being from her. Sounded like cousin to Poe at first.
Had to move from 7 to 8. May very well move it up again later.
Still freakin good GREAT !

What do you mean? She's hugely famous or hugely talented - true? I'm getting the feeling you think she's huge in size which is probably not true unless you are really small and you mean that comparitively! Just for a quick check on that take a look at the jacket of "Drastic Fantastic" and compare her physique in relation to the Fender Mustang, is it? I believe she's 5'2"! Hugely good music tho!

This grabs me!

KT Tunstall on going green Singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has become one of a growing number of performers who are making their concerts greener. klik the link above to watch a recent interview on Scottish Television about this ever pertinent issue. Good on ya KT!
I dunno....did you see that faint freckle just to the left of her dimple? I dont think I would have ever noticed that otherwise. HAHA randomprime wrote:

Sorry about that. My web browser scaled the image so that it wasn't so darned huge. Apparently some other browsers aren't as nice. Great BIG image of KT.
Yeah, if a lot of people want to listen to this it must be bad! Why, RP, why have you decided to play music people listen to?
geordiezimmerman wrote:
i wish they would just stop playing this rubbish. It's mainstream rubbish which i never thought R.P would ever play. Nil points
Rather ignorant statement, no matter where you live. You do realize that at various times such rubbish as led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, have been fully mainstream on the radio, don't you? Somehow these groups are considered legitimate today on this very station! Either this means that rubbish becomes valued with time (and pressure maybe, much as peat can become coal), or you actually have it all wrong. Just possibly.
I'll listen to KT anytime, thanks. Another great song!
I would agree that K.T. is mainstream while also noting that "mainstream" doesn't necessarily mean "bad." Sometimes great musicians become very popular (it doesn't exactly seem like a stretch). I do concede that over-exposure has its negative effects on the music itself, but I don't really find KT Tunstall to be "over-exposed" at this point. Then again, i avoid commercial radio like it's got herpes, so what do i know?
geordiezimmerman wrote:

Of all the absolute crap music in the world, how this could be classified as rubbish is beyond me.

I should move to your side of the pond, if KT is 'mainstream' there. I've heard only 1 1/2 of her songs on mainstream radio over here, and this ain't one of them. See, I'm trying NOT to assume music snobery in everyone's posts on here any more... don't prove me wrong!

I wonder what she will come up with in the future. This is already very good and inventive, but probably the best is yet to come.
KT.T will i predict just get better as the years pass!! Writes-Plays-Sings her own music a good start i say!!

Heh, I listen to everything. Avril and Pink are two artists whose songs portray teen age angst just as did the ducktailed singers of my era (the 1950's & early 60's). Now, what IS KT's first name, anyway? Cheers from Music City, USA

I hear Finley Quaye phrasings in this song.

Not that you care, but I think you should look at the screen while typing instead of the keyboard, so that you don't accidentally mix up the capitalization of your words. THATS WHAT i THINK

As one of those that puts Mr. Buckley's music on a level above most everything else... And... as one that really loves KT Tunstall's stuff, but not nearly as much as JB's. I would have to say... I think that other dude is right. This seems heavily influinced by JB.
reminiscent of Edie Brickell. I like it.

I'd like to like this because of all the great things I hear & read about her, but the music does nothing for me. Not her other song I've heard either. Not doubting that she's very skilled. Maybe third song's the charm.

Good thing that I like this song (and the cd) 'cuz it seems to be playing fairly frequently these days.
good studio album - love to see her live - very good performer - will build up a following and will not be a one album wonder i predict.

She sounds really good without the "Woo-hoo"-ing. I'm beginning to think "Black Horse & the Cherry Tree" is an outlier.
Somehow, once that song gets going, the woo-hoo just sinks into the texture of it all. I still think it's the strongest song on the disc....it's the most non-poppy of the set. Oh well.
Not "whohoo whohooo" at all. Okay.

Yet another multi-talented Scot. Get tore in, will ye!!!!
She did "Suddenly I See" on Letterman May 5th with a full band. It was very nice watching in HD.

A friend at work burned me this CD. It's good, but a little too slick in some places. Think she's a whole lot more talented than this CD shows. Someone to keep an eye on (wink, wink) in the future.

From the Free MP3's Forum: KT Tunstall: Greater Than the Sum of Her Sounds
NPR's Weekend Edition - Saturday, February 4, 2006 ยท Music fans across the pond have known about Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall since last year, when her album Eye to the Telescope raked in critical praise and she was nominated for Britain's new-music honor, the Mercury Prize. Now, Tunstall's album is getting a Stateside release, Feb. 7. Part of what draws attention to her is the live performances: She's a one-woman band, literally. Using a looping machine operated by pedal, Tunstall records and plays back harmonies, guitar and percussion all in real time. Among other things, Tunstall says, the technique helps her "escape the stigma attached to 'the girl with the guitar.'" While she threads together different instrumentation in her songs, Tunstall also calls on a variety of influences. On her Web site, she calls Ella Fitzgerald her "singing teacher" and cites influences ranging from James Brown to PJ Harvey. Tunstall joins Scott Simon for an interview and performance. She appears at various U.S. venues throughout March.
saw this girl perform in Conan O'Brien by herself. She makes her own loops right there! She was fantastic! plus... she's hot!
I bought and I dig. The video from the Today show that comes with the iTunes album is a great sample of her style and talent. She seems very cool.
Bought this album after hearing her songs on RP. Quite good, really. She has her own sound. Some sound a little "country"ish, but the whole album doesn't really have that tone.
