Face your fate
remove all the lace
you love me to death
but death may love you more

you paint with glaze
but write me without grace
you love me to death
our love was mortal hope

oh you love me to death
but death may love you more

you grow in me
and although we disagree
you love me to death

you can not love me more

the best things in life to find
will not always satisfy
you can love me to death
but I will have to go

oh you love me to death
but I will have to go
oh you love me to death
but I will let you go
oh you love me to death

She has absolutely sexy sensual voice. Too bad it's not working for you.

She certainly can sing. Listen to their whole catalog. She has an impressive range.

You can dislike her vocals in this song, but that doesn't mean she can't sing.

It'd be like if based on your one comment here, I said you couldn't think... ;P

excellent on several levels… haunting mood and fem vocals among them...
An emotional and brooding wonder of a track
Very fine ... strangely, whenever I find myself wondering "who is that band?" ... it turns out to be Hooverphonic.

Don't know how it ends: when the song is over,
I always find myself hoping she picks out another song

Agree. I'd take it over Adele's "Skyfall".

beautiful night here

73 and a nice ocean breeze

{#Music}
A startlingly smooth segue: Lana Del Rey - Born to Die => Hooverphonic - You Love Me To Death. Cool.
I just recently bought this album after hearing it here and it's quickly become a new favorite for both me and my wife - GREAT ALBUM!  Bought it new on Amazon for seven bucks! (click from RP, natch!)

Thanks for the tip. The Bulldog is ofcourse a Coffeeshop, but I was referring to the hostel where I was staying. It's quite comfortable and friendly in the hotel. I don't believe I have frequented the Graasshpper yet (though in the fog of Amsterdam bliss, it is entirely possible that I forgot), but I will check it out on my next visit, thank you.

Ahhh, The Grasshopper. You've got very good taste. One of my all time favorite places on Planet Earth. Spent many a pleasant hour there, at least I think I did. Hang at the 'Hopper for a few hours then go catch a show at The Milkweg. Good times!

You know, I'm tired of listening to KFOG, probably because it's so easy to do. But - when they first went on air, they played obscure stuff like Peter Gabriel's "I Go Swimming" and other things that they wouldn't be caught dead playing today. I miss Scoop, M Dung, and the stuff that made the station special - if not a sure fire moneymaker. Of course, before KFOG, there was the 70s and KLOL out of Houston where I'd here Kraftwerk, ZZ Top, and Nat Lamp Radio Hour and then Headphones Only... Those were the days.

And so, that sends me here....

:roflol: :bounce: You are indeed The Man. Hope you''re tied to the table to keep from floating away. That has to be the biggest tongue wagging a dog that I've seen. Good to know that the Boston Globe came through with the appropriate pic for a hash trip.

I am, by now, conditioned to hear Unkle aftr this. And when it didn't follow, it left me feeling as if I'd eaten a meal without dessert. Not to worry, though, now that I hear the opening strains of Mr. Ray Charles. What a station!

Perfect James Bond intro song.
I bought this cd a month ago or so, and I have to say it wasn't worth the 12 bucks, even if it is two discs. I'd been sort of intrigued by their sound here on rp, but geez it's so monotonous and minimalist. They take themselves so freekin seriously, but they just don't have enough going on musically to justify it. Fortunately it was on a gift card, but still... I'm disappointed.
I am vacuuming my rugs.
Nice set today...
please, this song is soooo burnt out from you playing it that it now sucks. thanks alot
