In home theaters, still projecting
Undestructing, a voice from the back, yeah
Double features, soft and harder
Wait in silence while planning your attack, yeah

Shining through the hollow today, yeah
Thinking maybe heaven's away
They've shown this on both screens
They've shown this on both screens

In torn seats are film leaders
Lead the charging of armies into war, yeah
Lead the charge of twin teachers
False and feature, picture the euphoria

Flipping through the photos they send ya
Going to 16 and Valencia
They've shown this on both screens
They've shown this on both screens

Teem, teeming with things you may find in the dark
Dust in the light, falling through day after night
Falling with you, photos of you
Ooh

In soft seats are stills projecting
No protecting from voices in the back of ya
Double feature, soft and heartland
Stone the hope, then they slip you through the cracks, yeah

Flipping through the photos they send ya
Going to 16 and Valencia
They've shown this on both screens

jeez, i thought for a brief instant this was primus' big brown beaver and RP had gone nuts over the weekend! still a little intense for monday morning.
I'm still waiting for that tune to play...a Primus great. Still decent.
A good solid band. Great album. See them in concert.
Its ok but I liked the Old Pornographers better.
It's almost high enough to be Beach Boys

The New Pornographers, despite their name, are a really good band. They remind me a little of the Pixies, more in the concept of their sound than the sound itself. Refreshingly original in music today.

Agree, I just had to turn my volume down. I do like these guys but not this song.
A most excellent album!
I love The New Pornographers. This album was the first of theirs that I heard, then I listened to the rest of their work. They're great overall. Lots of catchy melodies; their approach is pretty unique these days. No one does this stuff anymore, and hasn't for quite some time, to the point where being old is somehow new again.
Like many of their songs, there tends to be these ho-hum beginnings only to get so much better in the middle and end with some tasty melodic bridges or choruses.
Definitely not the best song on the album but a very rockin' song nonetheless!
digg the beat here. good song.

Not my fave track but not bad. Luke warm to the CD at first but I dug it more after a couple more listens. Pretty good stuff for a drive on a fine spring/summer day. Can't wait.
This lot are playing live in Glasgow in a couple of months... looking forward to it. Took me a while to get into the album, but I am definitely converted now.
outstanding album, outstanding show, can't wait until new years eve @ the metro :) definately not my favorite song on the album though
GREAT album!
glad someone uploaded songs off Twin Cinema even if it's being played late at night for now
