No one ever thought this one would survive
Helpless child, gonna walk a drum beat behind
Lock you in a dream, never let you go
Never let you laugh or smile, not you.

Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.

Making friends with a homeless torn up man
He just kind of smiles, it really shakes me up.
There's danger on every corner but I'm okay
Walking down the street trying to forget yesterday.

Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
A poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart ... yeah!

You know that life really takes its toll
And a poet's gut reaction is to search his very soul
So much damn confusion before my eyes,
But nothing seems to phase me and this one still survives.

I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart,
Well, I just want to walk right out of this world,
'Cause everybody has a poison heart.
A poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.
A poison heart, a poison heart, a poison heart.

Merits an airing every decade or so, but they really didn't have their heart in this track, did they? Sounds more like an album filler by Pete Burns. Still, it beats anything I could ever do myself....

While blasting through the box set (I have all then music and am not interesting in the videos, but the comic is a must have.) i came across this great review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine in the All Music Guide. this really captures how things have changed, and is worth reading if you're a fan, or were luck enough to be around in those exciting days. here's the link at Amazon for the write up https://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/music/B0009CTUPA/reviews/ref=cm_rev_more/702-5850132-6354420#3 Merry Christmas baby
MCKY, https://tinyurl.com/ is your friend. Embrace it.
Can't be the Ramones. I'm sure I heard more than 3 cords in there.
Yet another sampling of one of the important food groups of music... thanks RP
I'm sure this brings back some nostalgic feelings for the older set. I grew up in this generation myself, but it just doesn't quite cut the mustard for me. I dunno -- perhaps it's because they represent the middle of the road of their genre. so - so
NOW we're talking! Haven't heard much off this album but glad to hear any Ramones! Saw them in 1979 at age 16 and then many times later, met Dee Dee and Marky, but kinda stopped buying their albums after Acid Eaters.

Hard to dislike ANY Ramones song. R.I.P., Joey
The Ramones had better songs when they started out, but an average day with the Ramones blows away a "good" day with Bon Jovi!
Shy of their best work, but nevertheless still goofy fun. Now I wanna sniff some glue (or upload some of their earlier, classic stuff), 'cuz all us kids want somethin' to do.
