My British mate Mike "Short-Circuit" R. and I used to get the biggest kick out of jamming out to this and other songs by this rocking, fun Georgia band good and loud, singling along heartily while drinking endless cases of Asahi Super Dry, Kirin Ichiban-Shibori, and exquisite sake in his awesome bay-view apartment with balcony in Atami, Shizuoka, Japan from 1988 to '90... "Ya got me TIED DOWN with BATTLESHIP chains... FIFTY FOOT-long and a TWO-TON anchor..."

First time hearing this--quite good even if the drum machine's a bit heavy-handed. A shame this didn't get more FM airtime back in '86-87.

I only knew that one famous tune of theirs... and got so tired of it.

These guys share a little sound with The Black Crowes, but with a bit more twang.  And I like that.  In 1986 we had such horrible bubble gum glam rock emerging with the likes of Cinderella, Poison and the like.  Luckily some real rock bands broke through such as this, and a few years later The Black Crowes.

Love this song, it has always been one of my favs. Love the guitar solo on this one. Once you get past the "change in my pocket..." song, they are/were a good band. To hear it here, I couldn't believe it! I had to double check. My mom must of sent my box of old albums to RP.
