Thanks but I'm far from teenage years, and quite practiced at inebriation.  Still looking for Special Brew in the US.

(For the record, my GRAND children will be teenagers soon.)

Can I get a can in the US?  Bummer if it's subject to tariffs.
(Haven't seen your comments in a long time Mr. Riley.)

Fantastic sound - reminiscent of old Pink Floyd, Meddle.

Kind of makes me feel drunk
Yes - like their work very much. 9
Wow, the portrait of the band on the cover is not what I expected.  Good stuff though.
Perfect tune for an autumn day! {#Umbrella}

It's amazing to me how many negative comments I see here (in general, mostly). It's RP - home of lots of great stuff, but there's no expectation that it's gotta always be 100%. Get this close to the edge of perfection, there's bound to be some things that don't suit everyone.

But to get pissy about it enough to have to spend time dumping on stuff - I don't understand the motivation. Makes me sad for RP - just can't win for so many of "us".

I'm more than happy to just be able to be somewhere I can enjoy the stream...

Well said!
Just had to bump this up to 8... so cool {#Cool}
Yay! My first post as SquiddlyDiddly!

This track has Squiddly Squiddlying across the floor in a most pleasing Squiddly manner.

That is all.

Very Breaking Bad-driving-through-the-desert-sounding.
I was expecting to hear Jim Morrison break on thru this

The customary objective of a groove would seem to be to sustain itself, not deviate from it or "go anywhere" else.  I guess it depends on who you ask.

Rule 13:  All musical compositions must go somewhere.

Please note that the rule does not indicate where said composition must go (say, to hell, or perhaps up one's ass) nor how fast said composition must travel (glacially, for example, or at the speed of a PSD click).

Landed here today hitting the PSD from another song.  Love that PSD — ya never know whatcha gonna get!  Love this track — missed hearing it when it last played on Aug 25th.

Nice 'n moody, that's me today.

"Don't ban Buckie" {#Snooty}
I like this one — and GREAT segue from Portishead's "Glory Box"
Again alone, at PC, 5:00AM, coffee, and this one... Awesome.

Love this song, and love it that it led me to this great band.  Their other songs aren't as spooky/instrumental but very cool and unusual.

That's okay - you have a lyrical way with words, and the smileys only add a visual for emphasis.  BTW, I like this song, too, only today it's clear, cold, and snowy (and my window is frozen shut, darn it.)  Oh well - I have a chicken roasting in the oven, the cats are fed, the house is warm, and at this moment, things are okay, subject to change without notice. {#Mrgreen}

Sounds similar to a Radiohead song - Paranoid Android, I think. I like it.

Nice....................... I'm goin with a 9 also

With the current interface that Bill and William have put so much effort into, it's pretty hard to fail at creating a link.

I really like this. Very hypnotic. Guy Garvey from Elbow does a lot of work with I am Kloot and I believe plays drums on this track.

I like the sound but i don't think there is enough going on for an instrumental.  I just keep waiting for the lyrics.
Melodically depressing, like Elliott Smith, only without the cutting lyrics.
Very cool, unique instrumental!

Instant 7, and probably will go up. Very cool sound. Side note: the dirty comment (from "buddyweiser," aptly named) is the first of its kind I've ever seen on RP. Interesting ... does that mean that we're generally a self-censoring bunch and a cretin just happened to slip in among us? :think:

Very Sigur Rós-esque.
Actually, he's reaching for a can of Special Brew, a very cheap but strong larger drunk by hardened northeners. The thought of it now takes me back...ahh Merry Down! CafeRacer wrote:

Massive fan of this Manchester band. This is off their excellent first album, which is packed with catchy melodies and some brilliant lyrics ("there's blood on your legs, I love you" anyone). This song is quite different from rest of album though (erm, being lyric-less and all). They are also very good live! Err, have I sold them yet...
Very mellow, quite pleasant
Sounds like a familiar Pink Floyd tune, am I the only one ?
solid tune

Very different, this is the only instrumental on the album,as good as it is, the album is made up of a lot of more folky rock, sung with a liverpudlian accent. Worth a check out, but definitely very different to that Explosions in the Sky type instrumental. Check out I Am Kloot's A Day in the Life (not a cover of the Beatles tune) very original with an amasing base-line and drum beat...well worth it
I like it and would be curious to hear more from this band!

With this song, this band has found a new identity. I'm still not sure about them as songwriters. I'm still waiting for an "I Will Follow" or "Every Breath You Take" or "Karma Police." But they can rock, no doubt, and in cool new ways.
