Really funky.  The compliation must have been released in 1994.  This sounds as if it is much earlier....late 60s / early 70s?

Nice to hear the person usually behind the boards taking a leading role.

Funny, I was raised in New Orleans, listened to college radio and old-school AM (WTIX), and knew of Toussaint, but never actually heard any of his music.  Had to move north and discover RP to actually hear what's widely acknowledged as an NOLA treasure.

Life's funny like that.
