Today I
Said goodbye
To my conflicted goddess
Her lush eyes
Show surprise
At how we could gather knowledge
The painting has a dream
Where shadow breaks the scene
And the colors run off
Blue is bashful
Green is my goal
Yellow girls are running backwards
Until the next time
With six hits of sunshine
The lights will blind up with blues in haiku
The shadow has a dream
Where painters look to sea
The colors burn out
Now I know where
I once saw you
Stepping into muddy water
John's reflection
Decried perfection
Now you walk him through the garden
Waiting in the wings
Painters shade their dreams
With falling colors
See me wave good
Bye forever
Happiness the goddess lover
Hurry back
Remember last time
The hits of sunshine
The hits of goldmine
I'll see you back tonight
Where painters love the light
And yellow shadow girls
Today I
Say goodbye
To my complicious goddess
Her hushed eyes
Show surprise
And how we captured knowledge
I'll see you back tonight
Where shadows dream of light
Let's slip on outside

This track is solid 9 but what is more important: these guys are AMAZING live, check it!
I'm not cool enough like this music.
Well, time has passed, the seasons have changed and so have I.
Now I miss that song.
REALLY creepy album cover
pathetically pretentious punk pablum

This is the song that never ends.
Neo-psychedelia :meditate: :good-vibes:
Neu! :good-vibes:
This sounds like the Iron and Wine vocalist!

I swear the instrumental part of this song is one of the Rock Theme you can choose a ride to play on Roller Coaster Tycoon! That's freaky!
I turned my speakers down to take a phone call, and it was still on when I came back...enough already.
You may now touch my hamster! :frown:
Snoozin. H'm... does this thing end?
Great :guitarist:

Well... I like the title. Except for the Ginsberg part. The "music" stinks though.
Why not the Ginsberg part? "Sunshine" was acid, and Ginsberg was into that stuff a little bit... Me, I like the bass in this track even if the song doesn't travel far as a whole.

I am so energized and my neighbors are going to kill me.... gotta play these cuts LOUD...... thank yooooooo... excellent choice.... genius! :-D
I love getting the chance whenever I get the chance to live in Teresa's sound world... tttuuh ttuh ttuh touch me -- I wanna be DIRTY! :curtain:  :sunny:
Following this with Mark Knopler's "El Macho" is a streak of brilliance.
Reminds me a bit of early Chrome, circa 1977-78...
like the groove...

This post had to get back up top (probably just below Mari's). Funny!
This song moves along like a snail on Rohypnol - yet strangely enough I really like it

It's getting me SOMEwhere...
stupendous! so glad to finally hear this one on RP. we need to hear "Diamond Sea" (among many others) too.

Not to mention that is sounds nothing like a dead set... (At least not that I have heard...)
Yeah, unless it was one where jerry was whacked out on 'ludes or bad smoked heroin.... otherwise definitely not. Man, the more I hear of Sonic Youth the more I think it's a make-work project for NYC bobo musicians who THINK they're cool but really aren't. Frankly, these guys really suck. No dynamics, no groove, no melody, production's weak, song goes on WAY too long.... a wasted 15 minutes on RP. Sorry, I just don't get it. I suppose they didn't vote for Bush, so I guess they're good eggs.

Outstanding! :goodvibes.gif: Pure bliss, drifting in the perfect aural jam.
Holy Crap! What a great jam. Sonic Youth are at their best when they get all atmospheric and groovy. Daydream Nation was the last time I heard anything this beautiful coming from them.

Or QMS. I've always liked SY for their late 60's San Francisco sound.

I thought these guys were all loud noise... is this representative of more of their stuff?
Yo RP: check out how to spell Allen Ginsberg. Take it from another Ginsberg.
One of the great bands of our era.
They played our campus when I was in college.
i am extremely happy to see this song make it to the playlist... thought i was on lrc for a moment...
