Touch your thighs, I'm the lonely one
Remember that last sweat 'cause that was the right one
Oh, all your mysteries are moving in the sun
And show some love and respect
Wanna get some love and respect
Baby you can see that the gazing eye won't lie
Don't give up your lover tonight
'Cause it's just you, me and this wire, alright
Let's tend to the engine tonight

She found a lonely sound
She keeps on waiting for time out there
Oh love, can you love me babe
Love, is this loving babe
Is time turning around

Feast your eyes, I'm the only one
Control me, console me
'Cause that's just how it should be done
Oh, all your history's like fire from a busted gun
I show some love and respect
Don't wanna get a life of regret

But baby you can see that the gazing eye won't lie
Don't give up your lover tonight

She found a lonely sound
She keeps on waiting for time out there
Oh love, can you love me babe
Love, is this loving babe
Is time turning around

He slips into the bedroom, baby
You know me, this is all right
Old names, we'll make soon
Will sustain us through the night
Inside my bedroom baby
Touch me, oh tonight
Poses we'll make soon
Will reveal our sense of right

You should be in my space
You should be in my life
You should be in my space
You should be in my life
You could be in my space

Bowie like segue.

Definately an acquired taste...but to my mind it's the perfect voice for the sound theya re going for.  Good album...great song.  8.

I really enjoy this band.
Pretty simple, yet catchy tunes.
And I like the singers voice.
This is a good album.

Yep...I think I could learn this one in about 2 minutes flat. Still, I kinda like these guys.  Bought their first CD when it came out. Look forward to hearing more off of this one here on RP.  Judging by this tune, it sounds more accessible which isn't always a good thing.

its ok not to like...
but atonal!
its ridiculous.
i bring this up because others have accepted the 'atonal' dismissal.
singing in a minor key is not ATONAL.....
anyway...lets think next time

{#Stupid}

carry on...

Better than the Smiths. But not by much. As mentioned before, atonal... like Smiths, which I thot this could be if they actually had a song that rated a 5.

I love both The Smiths and Interpol. For whatever reason, the voice (while I do recognize it as atonal or otherwise displeasing to others) just...does something to me. I don't know how else to explain it.

It's like a dog whistle...in that a sound is made, but people can't hear it. But with music, instead of a whistle...which then makes me the dog...      Oh boy. Never mind. In my head it made sense.

Check out "Editors" if you like this. Very similar. Personally, only a 5 for me. OK, maybe a 6...
reminiscent of franz ferdinand, only less good
In the minority- but I love it.
There are much better songs on this album, such as Evil and Slow Hands. This one only gets a 5 from me.
Kill that guitarist...
Atonal. Yuck-o-rama.
Ian curtis come back from the dead? joy division sound but i love joy division sound.
Wow, Roverfish commented four (4) times on how much he hates this song and this band. Am I smelling another Physicsgenius wannabe in the works?!!!
had to bump from a 7 to an 8 after listening to this a 2nd time...nice tune!
Yep, this one's nice.
Me likey.

Yeah... My first thought, too.
At first listen... I like it. I'll need more to see if it is just novelty or not.

I don't like Interpol.
Great background music.
There are songs I like by Interpol, however, at the same time the lead's voice makes me think, hmm, is this what it would sound like if Bert from Sesame Street had a band and he sang lead?I dont know what it is...
You, too, can be on My Space. www.myspace.com

Yikees!!! Sounds like 1980's pop to me.

Head check there buddy. They opened for The Cure in Dallas. Talk about boring. It all sounds the same. Very very marginal.
Why does he keep asking me to be on MySpace ??
As a whole album, Antics was easily one of the best albums of 2004

I'm with you. Trying...to...like...nope, not quite there. Sorry to all the fans, but this gets a 3.
i like their stuff
i love this whole cd

Interpol is another RP discovery and thank you for that, Bill! They are interesting if not a bit depressing. I have both albums, the first being a bit more original/less developed. They are a breath of fresh air in all the musical garbage that is being floated out there.
Marginal, at best. Two-minus
I don't know if this is good or not. I just can't get past how odd it is.....
THis is just fantastic which = 9!

they do -- that's the problem.

Okay, some of their lyrics are a bit out there, but I have to confess that I dig these guys' sound. Despite the confession - no apologies.
Not bad, although I thought their previous album (Bright Lights) was much better.

Sounds a little like the Psychedelic Furs. Sorta catchy.
that twanging guitar through the non-chorus parts is irritating
ugh... a crappy voice singing dumb lyrics with unimaginitive melody. ...waiting patiently for this trend to end.

u have 2 b f n JOKIN If this is the state of music today, crap, we're doomed. Speaking of, this song provides the perfect opportunity to go to the bathroom. I'll be sure to wave to the Interpol lads as they swirl down.

Great soundtrack to late-night freeway driving.
Please vomit in the provided receptacle.

Less Joy Division now... Should get the Editors for that, really nice :)
LA Woman-era Doors. (but i still diggit)

nah - but it did make me stop and listen. But then it became to aggrevating (musically) for my tastes.
I love the 80's sound of Interpol. Tho the guitar riff gets a lil old on this one.
Bowie?
Sounds very Franz Ferdinand-esque to me. Which is a good thing.
:goodvibes.gif:
I love Interpol. Please play more Interpol! Specialist would be nice...
Interesting...kinda like it
