I'm waiting on the countdown
Sitting in the shade
Things about to turn around
How the madness fades

Oh, I've been waiting on the countdown
Things about to turn around
And now I'm out of the lost and found
Just waiting on the countdown

Right through your fingers
Time slips away
Oh, this feeling lingers
Right here I'm going to stay

I've been waiting on the countdown
Things about to turn around
And now I'm out of the lost and found
Just waiting on the countdown

So I'm sitting in the shade
Under the dreaming tree
Now the madness fades
Right here I'm going to be

Oh, I've been waiting on the countdown
Things about to turn around
And now I'm out of the lost and found
Just waiting on the countdown

Not his best but man I wish I could play guitar like him!
These are not the Fleetwood Mac you are looking for.
I am ignoring all of the negative comments regarding this song....I think it is excellent!!

The guitar playing from this fella always astounds me.....{#Cheers}

Yes, but this isn't one of his best pieces.
So now I know where the cheesy pop of Fleetwood Mac's later years came from.
Dreadful.
No matter what you think of this cut, go see him perform if you get the chance.
Where is that damn mute button?
One of the more talented "Macs"

Wow. Incredible. I was coming to comment on how godawful the guitar sounds. . .just to find that very thing idolized here?

I would never allow my guitar to sound like that. Ever. Well, unless maybe I had straws stuck up my nose and was making a silly face. But even then. . .

It really does sound more like a kazoo than something with strings.
...this sounds a lot like lindsey buckingham!..
I like Buckingham, but his song evokes the Monkees.

Love Lindsey!! It's about time we heard him on RP. Lots of good solo Lindsey stuff - let's hear more.

Agree!  He's one of my favorite guitarists - with or without the Mac.  {#Dancingbanana} (Dang, my crystal champagne flute just shattered from that high note he played...)
Screw the negative comments - I like this song.
This is no Fleetwood Mac for sure.

Think he performs best within the bizarre and no doubt personally tortuous chemistry of Fleetwood Mac.

This is cheesier than Gorgonzola left in the sun. I think I'd prefer to hear The Final Countdown...

LOL!

But hey - no dissing the final countdown. still love it - reminds me of my teenage years.

I used to own this CD and always loved this tune. Am I the only one who thinks he is one of the best guitarist around ?

I'm with you. I think he's an amazing guitarist, and this is one of my all-time fav albums. There's an instrumental song on this album that sounds like he's playing two songs simultaneously. Brilliant finger-work.
What an odd arrangement.

+1

I like it, but I must say that after cranking volume up for the preceding piece by the Shins, that opening guitar was pretty intense.  Ouch indeed!

No you're not alone. He is an amazing guitarist! Some of the stuff he did on the Fleetwood Mac reunion album (Tusk ?) is brilliant.

Wow, haven't heard this in almost 20 years. Good throwback.
Ooooh - new old Lindsey Buckingham!  Always eclectic, usually brilliant to the point of insanity.  I like his music, and this song is one I've not heard before.  It'll need a couple more listens, but I think for now, it's a 7.  {#Sunny}
I have an old tape of him on Letterman back in 1992.  Loved this tune then.  Still do. Oh, and it looks like I'm the first second comment on the first time this is played (3/10/2011).

This album is simply phenomenal - love it
