Ok, I read the article and now I remember what it was about. Contrary to others here it ruins the song for me. The person it's about is just another egomaniac trying to get into the spotlight. BFD.

Having read all the posts, it's just taken on another dimension. I've been a fan of the post-modern irony of Eels since I heard Novocaine for the Soul back in the mid 90s. Ha ha ha... oh my God, this is wonderful. I'm like, a good Republican and all, and this fits with most of the music whose message would never correspond with anything I believe in... BUT... I'm a huge fan of pop culture, and Soy Bomb is one of those things that will be with me 50 years from now. What a great song. Even better, is the lead in to Bob Dylan. lol
