Every time this starts up, I think it's going to be Salisbury Hill... then the first line sounds like Al Stewart. I hate to join this "this sounds just like..." chorus, because once he gets rolling, it sounds more distinctive, but I keep getting fooled at the start.

I agree but the more I hear it it is growing on me. Not to be confused with a classic but a good tune.

cue Twilight Zone music...I was just looking at another website (cdbaby) and listening to clips from this album...then I return to RP and this song is playing...perhaps it's a sign. of what, I don't know. I like the song (and the others I listened to from this CD)
