I was living in the belly of a shark
Seen what he was eating all the time
She pulled me out with her pirate sense of duty oh
she said you ve been living off the dark end blend
now its time to come out my friend, you thought
oh I ll never see the light but you were wrong
you just became the light
chorus: cause I am a ghost boy I don t
scare and I don t get no bellyaches
and I ll be eating sparrows
sitting on top of a tree
and as the days go by won t
you show me where to get them bellyaches
or I ll be eating marrow
straight from the bone
those days I had a coronary taste
falling from the tip of my tongue
she was looking for a little fun
and me I was the only one oh she said:
Big sewers filled with little kids,
west side story be the story of bids that go
high till they brake the sky.
They make bible stones seem old
Now all that can save me
Is my own rabies
So I bite my own self
and I quiet down like stealth again
All that can save me
is my own rabies
so I bite my own self
and I quiet down like stealth bombers
chorus: cause I am a ghost boy I don t
scare and I don t get no belly aches
and I ll be eating sparrows
sitting on top of a tree
and as the days go by won t
you show me where to get them bellyaches
or I ll be here like pharaohs
forever on my own

Really, there can't be any room for playing a guitar in there, plus it's too dark to write down any lyrics.

ghostboy by jason mraz oops i mean gabriel rios
Love it !
More Gabriel Rios!!! One of the first artists I discovered thanks to RP. {#Dancingbanana_2}
Thought that this was a new song from Beck, so I had to go to the computer to check. It wasn't him, but I'm liking it anyway.{#Laughing}

Is this the same band that has all the little kids singing in a song?
I kind of like this,that.
Kind of quirky and not serious enough to balk at.

{#Roflol}This is song is catchy and fun!  I love the vaguely salsa/conga rhythm vibe.

a new song on repeat :)
Kinda fun.
Reminds me a bit of the Australian band The Cat's Empire

i agree.
Quite forgettable.
Ooh nice, haven't heard this in awhile! :good-vibes:
Kinda reminds me of something from Flight of the Concords. Bret (Brit) is singing.
wow, his web site is pretty funky well done
Definately digging on this. The lyrics rock, too
Awesome! Been too long since we've heard this tune.

Oh come on. I thought it was a She until I read about him. I'm sure we're not the only ones. And notice a few comments further down that physicsgenius actually talks about obtaining the album. 25demayo wrote:

I like this like I liked Molotov when they came out - sweet!
anyone know how to go about getting this disk in the states? i cannot seem to find it anywhere
love it. love any song about being saved by rabies, with nods to both Pirates of Penzance and West Side Story. fantastic.

Love this song. Awesomly random and...well..gross. :bounce:
Something I can really dance to in front of my mirror, but what was that crazy talk about sharks and marrow. ABBA did a much better version of this...
what a surprise! 8/10!
Thanks for putting a smile on my face RP, I needed that.

Too Cakey
But that is what makes it good. Cant wait to see Cake at GT.
Gabriel Rios is such an incredibly nice guy. I already like his music just because of that.
Great stuff. Got this in my car, just rockin' out on the way to work to it. Sounds even better with a very large sub.
very nice :roflol: :sunny: :hungry:

I'm definitely going to have to "buy" this album. The only other song RP has played by her ("Broad Daylight") also rocked. Great syncopatic beat. What's a "ghostboy atom" though?
I believe the line is "I'm a ghostboy; I don't...", but "I don't" is said really quickly.
Oooh, I like this! :sunny:

Wish Bill would play this more often! It's the first time I've heard it, and I give it a "7" right away.
Sounds like dull 70's soundtrack music to me.
fantastic! what a killer voice on this fellow.
holy cow! this sounds really good! i wonder where i can get a cd from... don' t have the album in itunes... anyone?

I guess that that is better than dancing around shaking your flat booty.

Yeah mister Gabriel Rios on RP! He's original from Puerto Rico, but lives already 8 years in Belgium, first in Brussels and now in Ghent. The past year he's become very popular due to heavy tour-schedule. He's sometimes called the Belgian Manu Chao ;-) This is the title track, other good ones are 'Broad daylighr' (very Eeels), 'Bones Bugalu' and 'Carlito' !

Check out www.musicstack.com. Good source for obscure stuff, although I have never bought through them personally.
What a horrible waste. Who is selecting these atrocious songs? Please-stop--
The more I listen to this, the catchier it gets. I like it!
i taste Cake here too, but it's tasty stuff
