Looking for my place on assembly lines
Fake prizes rising out of the bomb holes
Skeleton boys hyped up on purple
Smoke rings blow from across the disco
Bank notes burn like broken equipment
Looking for shelter, readjust your position
Thought control, ghostwritten confessions
Two dimensions, dumb your head down
Duck, don't look now, company missiles
Power is raunchy, rent-a-cops are watching
Make your dreams out of paper mache
Cliched wasted hate taste-tested

Hell yes, now I'm moving this way, I'm doing this thing (please, enjoy)
Hell yes, now I'm turning it on, I'm working my legs
Hell yes, now I'm calling you out, I'm switching my plates (please, enjoy)
Hell yes, now I'm cleaning the floor, my beat is correct

Yes (hai), yeah, that's it
Umisei, yeah, that's it
Umisei, yeah, that's it
Hai

Stretched to the limit, attention spans snap back
Retract, collapsing the laugh tracks
Noise response, applause and handclaps
Floodgates open to the sound of the rainbow
Breaking points on the verge of pointless
Fools anointed to the follower's fanfare
Look for the common, not superficial
Code red Cola War conformity crisis
Perfunctory idols rewriting their bibles
With magic markers running out of their ink
Lives in White Out, turn the lights out
Fax machine anthems, get your damned hands up

Hell yes, now I'm moving this way, I'm doing this thing (please, enjoy)
Hell yes, now I'm turning it on, I'm working my legs
Hell yes, now I'm calling you out, I'm switching my plates (please, enjoy)
Hell yes, now I'm cleaning the floor, my beat is correct

Yes (hai) umisei, yeah, that's it
Yes (hai) umisei, yeah, that's it
Yes (hai) umisei, yeah, that's it
Yes (hai) umisei, yeah, yes
I like your bass, yes, your beat is nice, yes

Hell yes, hai, hell yes, hell yes, hell yes, yes, hai

This brings to mind Fascist Christ from back in '93

This is some messed up alternative  version of the tune I like.
love it
Beck has done some wonderful music yet this is horrible.
This song does not sound like the rest of the album.  This is actually a very good album (Girl, Black Tambourine, Go It Alone)
Awful, pretty much as ever, from Beck. Why play this when there is actual good music out there?
For anyone that cares https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerolito is the remix album that has this track on it.
Amazing breadth of variation. Beck is good. Really good.
Stick to the original mix.
And Beck continues his ruthless one-man trailblazing to new musical frontiers.
A remix which yeilds no improvement. Which is surprising, given how infuckingbelievably bad the original version is. . . .
love it... great video, too

Sweet! I've never heard this mix before, pretty interesting. He's a talented guy, wrote him off after "Loser" (as everyone probably did). Going to see him tomorrow in NYC, can't wait . . . :jump:

Now come on, y'all. I hope that we all reallize that Radiohead wasn't the first band to use a HAL computer voice in a recording.

I normally don't give a hoot about rap. But I find that Beck makes it sorta palatable for an old white dude like me. The album is great, and all over the place in creativity. Love the title cut. This cut is a different remix than the one on the album.

I would say more like Herbie Handcock meets a re-worked Beck. I think I can skip this disk.

you got it! also the Stephen Hawking-esque "Your beat is nice" smacks of Radiohead, fitter, happier, which makes me freaky-happy, too. agh, i'm sick! *dances*
 I wasn't sure but I thought they said "Your bitch is nice" when I was listening to the album on the way to work this morning. I'm glad I was wrong.

YES, its the result of a Ghettochip Malfunction at RP Headquarters

UGH! I like the one from the album. This one is just annoying with all the electronic blips and bleeps.
I'm with evilmu in liking this version better. I say we decide with a dance-off.

hah. i'm the exact opposite. this is the first one i heard so it's the only one i can stand. the other one bores me. then again, i'm geektastic about remixes featuring Nintendo-y sound samples.
Well there you have it! That's what makes the world go 'round

How do songs like this manage to get in and yet songs like Wilco's Handshake Drugs or Theologians (two songs I love) don't get in? I'm baffled.
Word. Hell Yes. (love Beck, but this remix is crap)

This song is actually a REMIX of "Hell Yes", a track off Beck's forthcoming album Guero. The original version has a lot more scratching and a lot less "Gameboy" beats. Steve griff

I like it (though a bit TOO much synth even for Beck)...he IS one funky white boy! Looking forward to the release. He's also got some serious range though...you want to visit the other end of his soul, listen to his more folky introspective album Sea Change.
