On the horizon of desert sand
Surrounded by devout naked land
We drove out early before the dawn
Waited silent for things to come

And what followed looked like the sun
Was a prayer for the gun

Before the earth moved there was the sound
Dark billows rose over holy ground
I was tempted to look right in
Where He could withstand I pledged to sin

And what followed looked like the sun
Was praying for a gun

As the spirit sent him out to do what he has done shouting kingdom come!
I fell down upon my knees to meet my maker with a plea to make it all undone

And what followed looked like the sun
Was praying for a gun

Indeed. There are some accidentally found, unplayed gems on RP....
the once a year comment for this song
Great track.  I only found it via PSD.  It deserves to find more ears.
Good tune, what's up with the crazy extended play intervals (1x/year?)??  (I also got here via PSD)
I'm there.
 Puscifer?

Enough is enough!

It's Friday afternoon. And you keep playing milk toast. Pablum. Boring.

Please play some  RnR!

thanks R.P. another great discovery....8  and yeah , I hear The Call in there  {#Music}
New to me and I Like it!!!!!!{#Dancingbanana}
somewhere between VAST and The Call
Makes me think of Ween.
Loving this...

Now that you mention it - yes. I can hear that.

Yep, I'll second that. What I really, really love about RP is that there's new music every day. Every time I listen I'm surprised, usually pleasantly, by new songs and artists. Big kudos to Bill and Becky, as ever. 8 from the Nottingham jury. Is it me, or is this song reminiscent of VAST?

I rather liked that.
Nice textures...on all counts.
Come to think of it, that Sean Connery Zardoz shot would go well with the second Gita quote too.

I'm not sure I'll sleep tonight after seeing that.

"On the horizon of desert sand

Waited silent for things to come

And what followed looked like the sun..."

Remember Oppenheimer after the Trinity test, quoting the Bhagavad Gita:

"If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the might one"

and, more famously,

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

I really, REALLY like this song!!  (But that pic of Sean Connery will probably haunt me until my pre-frontal lobotomy finally gets approved.)  {#Wall}

  Sean Connery in red diapers?!  {#Roflol} Musta been desperate for a part.
Looks more like something Will Ferrell would do.

Wow! This is excellent! Great lyrics/storyline. Effective wedding of music to message.
Somebody has been watching Zardoz apparently!

ZERO artist info for these guys at AllMusic, and the "artist web site" link leads to "Solo Cup Company," makers of plastic drinking cups.  Very nice track nonetheless!

YUMMY {#Cowboy}
I'm so glad this song is on the playlist. I'd never heard of this band before and I haven't been able to get this song out of my head. I'll definitely have to check out some of their other stuff.
Wow...first time hearing this...it's amazing. Love it.  {#Meditate}
I like the breakup at the end.

Is Shoot to Kill by AC/DC next?

Definitely very distorted at the very end.
Anyone hear a bit of Oxygene in there towards the end? Melody seems exactly the same for a few bars then it wanders off in a different direction. Gun -> sucking chest wound -> no oxygene?

Ew ew ew ew EW! I will never unsee that.

These last few sets were just perfect while dining with my wife at home this evening...Thanks Bill!
The distortion only lasts a few seconds. No big deal.

Any set about guns should have Weird Al\'s \"Trigger Happy\" :oD.
Intentional distortion or not, it sounded awful, and I had to turn down my headphones :(

Praise to the homeland band!

I think the transliteration might be more correct as "oota goota, Zolo?". But I'm no expert in the Huttese phonetic library.
Interesting...Musical nausea.

The distortion at the end is indeed supposed to be there :-) I love this song - the whole album is well worth checking out - also if you get a chance they're great live too.

It has a very Trent Reznor-esque feel to it. I like!
Evidence that there is some great Dutch music out there! I've seen them twice in concert (sadly very small). I reckon this duo (called Solo) could (and should) be really big. Wishing them a great musical career.. (click here)
