Why's it surreal when my hands feel they cant roll the dice?
Why's it so great just to wake every day, alive and by your side.
It's a mystery I guess, there's lots of things I cant find.
Its not the way that you look, but your move that catches my eye.
Why's it so soft when the cannons unload on the others?
Why're we so loud when we say it wont happen to us?
Why does my mind blow to bits every time they play that song?
It's just the way that he sings,
not the words that he says, or the band.
Im in love with this soul, it's a meaning that I understand.
Nice! I'm from Turkey, greetings from Turkey!

As a person with Armenian heritage, even I say WELCOME to RP to my Turkish friend. See...that wasn't too hard jp33442.
And I'll go 5+3 = 8 on this one, I did the same recently on a live cut of this song, must not have been in the mood last time this was played.
From Seattle....Long Live RP and thanks BnR!!
So now I must call you LizardKing-ian.
Trky suks
Peace.
Who cares where you are from
Your profile says YOU are from Florham Park presumably NJ and you work in "security", born 1964
So you live in the sewer that is the (formerly) United States
Are you tired of winning yet?
A traitor for President
Pandemic out of control
Economy in the toilet
The tone deaf arrogance and bad manners that got you and your country where it is today are in full view in your post
Karma is a bitch

Still have the vinyl...What about Mad River? Or The West Coast Pop Art Experimental
Band? FWIW, Zappa opened for them...Try The Anniversary of World War III (Wink,
wink...;-)
Well ain't you the asshole!
Becauuuusssssse!!!

in Osaka. Same energy and quality performance as their concerts in
front of 25000. What a great band. Just over the top good.
Greetings from Colorado, USA

Is that response necessary? This is a world wide place. Welcome, welcome, welcome

I love how hearing this song makes it true.
Me too. I still love the live version though, it's much faster and doesn't "drag" like this one.
I feel a 60's vibe but not Quicksilver Messenger Service. I love the harmony....almost Beach Boy-ish.
I don't hear "Life In A Northern Town" very much in this, but it often seems that MMJ and Fleet Foxes are the same band, or at least have the same producer.
Agreed. The Family Guy episode featuring them makes it hard to enjoy without picturing the stupid cartoon.
Lol.
Those damb stupid cartoons ~

Thank you for the advice. I will have to go and see/hear that this is so. Already it's heaven.

Nice one. I would love to enjoy this band but, bearing in mind that I can't sing for toffee, it feels like he doesn't hit a single note accurately. To my ears, anyway.
To me, this band has always been about their peculiar sound (which I enjoy in small doses). They do manage to replicate it fairly well in live performance. And, with Jim James being such a lovable, goofy hippy, I'm willing to cut them slack even when they do overcook the sonics.
If you guys are lacking in sound-deadening material for the studio, I have some egg-crate foam in my garage that you can have.

A band with the name "My Morning Jacket" can be nothing but a gang of (most likely bearded 18 year old) assholes!
From all the weird band names I have heard the past 82 years, this is certainly the most ridiculous!
On top of it, I am definitely tired of their old-fashioned, "progressive" folk-cowboy music!
ENGLAND RULES!!!!
Rules what? Even us little old 2.5 million welsh have our own leaders now.
Apparently the "land of the free" as you call it has 5% of the global population but 25% of the worlds jail warmers.
I like this band.
When I hear the opening chords I laugh, turn the volume up full & immerse myself in the sublime harmonies. I don't care that I can't understand a word without looking at the lyrics. This song just makes me so goddamn happy!
And I LOVE SINGING 'O E YO YO" OVER & OVER FOR FIVE MINUTES - at my personal 9.

Your welcome.

Doesn't even rank in the top 100
82 years!? I had no idea you were that old.

I have to ask: are you in a psych ward or are you just a bad AI program?

You are so right, I should move this from 9. Fun song, rockin'.

I don't like Corvettes.

Here Here! I agree totally
YES indeed!
Da do ron ron ron
I hear the spectre--as it were--of a wall of sound
Love this song - you guys can just sink in your own negativity.
A wonderful lady no longer with us introduced me to this album - forever the music is linked to our precious moments that existed between us,

That's like saying John Lennon had no talent.

Thank you for that.

A good drifting along song.
Except without the talent.
Lately? Been like this for years. Can't stand the song, myself.

agreed! came here to post just that — utterly superb seque from "Bring on The Dancing Horses" to this. Bill is a master!

I don't HATE this song. But enough already.
I build amps. It doesn't cost a fortune to get amazing sound. Even from a stream at 128kbps you can get amazing sound these days. Invest in quality, it's different from investing in price tags and labels.
Any suggestions?
And I am not talking about tens of thousands of dollars. Just a system to do justice to RP's feed!!!!!

I would have said '70's! (8 here too).
Helps me when I know I am going to have to strike soon over my job conditions to show the nasty big man where he can stick it...
I hit and run run, I hit and run run run run run run...
Still hear it...

Give it a shot! Uploading songs does not make you a pest, it makes you paradise head. ![]() Ball & Chain? As in Janis? Give it a go, love to see how someone else handles a Janis song. ![]() |
