Sexuality

I've had relations with girls from many nations
I've made passes at women of all classes
And just because you're gay I won't turn you away
If you stick around I'm sure that we can find some common ground

Chorus:
Sexuality - Strong and warm and wild and free
Sexuality - Your laws do not apply to me

A nuclear submarine sinks off the coast of Sweden
Headlines give me headaches when I read them
I had an uncle who once played for Red Star Belgrade
He said some things are really best left unspoken
But I prefer it all to be out in the open

Sexuality - Strong and warm and wild and free
Sexuality - Your laws do not apply to me
Sexuality - Don't threaten me with misery
Sexuality - I demand equality

I'm sure that everybody knows how much my body hates me
It lets me down most every time and makes me rash and hasty
I feel a total jerk before your naked body of work

I'm getting weighed down with all this information
Safe sex doesn't mean no sex it just means use your imagination
Stop playing with yourselves in hard currency hotels
I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Zero

Sexuality - Strong and warm and wild and free
Sexuality - Your laws do not apply to me
Sexuality - Come eat and drink and sleep with me
Sexuality - We can be what we want to be

A catchy, fun song with a positive message - What more can you want?

Natalie Merchant & Billy Bragg - Summertime, etc, Live

Natalie Merchant and Billy Bragg perform together to benefit Shake-A-Leg at Fort Adams State Park, Newport, Rhode Island. CTRI shoot.

"I love Natalie! My God she blows me away. And those shorts on Billy are awful but he is a great guitarist!!! Did I say I love Natalie?"       sbryant328

Sexuality.. "... the victorians pretended it didn't exist... the moderns pretend that nothing else exists" - Fulton J. Sheen. It's a flame which can scortch or be an eternal torch. - unknown, but I heard it somewhere
Drunken Morrisey? What a crap...

That about says it all. And I thought "I've got a girl with a bow in her hair, and nothing is better than that, is it?" was a good line.

This album wasn't as good as Worker's Playtime, but I think it was because Billy was going away from his guy with a guitar thing. Anyhow, more Billy is always good.

Forgot about this Bragg tune. Still think it's a fun one.
Eliza Doolittle must be his voice coach.
This song is just plain fun.
I had an uncle who once played for Red Star Belgrade A line that always makes me smile.:D I like this song, although it's not his best effort. I can never reconcile its oh-so-earnest 'safe sex' premise with the frankly daft verse lyrics ("I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Zero." What?) Still, I am surprised by the low rating for this song, given its contagious catchiness.
This does nothing for me that I ever want done again.

I think that's usually quoted as "billy Bragg, the Big-nosed Bard of Barking".
I agree with Rah, I love this song. Flashback to college in the early 90's. Good Times, Good Times -Thanks

Bleh, I couldn't hit the mute button fast enough. I'd rather listen to my co-workers blab than this song.

I generally agree. However his work with Wilco is quite good.

Never heard this song or of Billy. Never want to hear it again.
Maybe this track is too Britpop for you but listen out for his more political tracks - intelligent and hard-hitting.
feckin' brilliant.
I bet all the pop psychologists groove to this one.
:)
MORE BILLY BRAGG PLEASE
Never heard this song or of Billy. Never want to hear it again.
Is this Wesley Willis's brother?
party groove time!
I haven't heard this in a long time... LOVE Billy Bragg. Thanks, RP! :D
I forgot about this stupid song. Too bad I was just reminded of it.
Thought I just heard this song on the LRC--a brand spankin' new transplant. Funny song--who doesn't have some concern about sexuality?
