Interesting... :|
Like the California Guitar Trio---the Bluegrass cover knocks one off balance a bit--I like that about it. Good choice.
Great intro, hoped it was PF, but no... Initial hit of strumming was, frankly, unwelcome... The omionous undertone is still there, though, dark and moody and full of memory. Weird - it's like eating roast beef with salsa. Like 'em both; don't think they work together.
I like what they have done with this....impressive and not obtrusive....
Makes me want to hear RP play something off of Luther Wright & the Wrong's bluegrass version of the Wall.
Very interesting spin on a Pink Floyd classic. Very cool !!!
Well done.
Bill, follow the amazon link above... Says... David West

Same here. First thought to rate this low. Don't cover PF. They just can't be covered, but ... It's kinda nice :)

That would be Hayseed Dixie, and they are a pretty tight group of musicians with a great sense of humor!!

According to All Music the artist is David West
Nice version. Perhaps even sadder and more reflective than the original which always gives me chills imagining some little Polish boy in 1939 looking up in the sky and seeing the end of the world with a swastika on its wings

Blimey! First a dub-reggae version of Dark Side of the Moon, now a bluegrass version of Goodbye Blue Sky... whatever next?? ;-)
Love bluegrass...love Floyd. This is ok but leaves me wanting to hear the real thing.
Mongo likes... :-({|=
