Assassination of the voice of God
I don't know if I can do it
I've found the problem and the problem's you
I'm here to pick up the pieces.

You won't remember me but I do you
I told you that I would come back
Everything will be decided here
They can read it in the papers.

Your breathing haunts me
My breathing?
The sleeproom still waits for me.

Join the army you can see the world
I remember this one patrol
Been liberating river towns
And we picked up the sex skin crawl.

We would sing the new leader's song
Everyone invented stories
The connection was a fragile thing
Far too many distractions.

I've been listening to the new 'DJ'
What's all this 'original' con?
We all live in the same museum
We all rearrange the same old song.

Assassination by the radio
I don't know if they can do it
I've found the problem and the problem's 'One'
I'm here to pick up the pieces.

This song defines the 80's sound. Makes me want to grab my power tie, hair mouse and my sit down at my Apple IIe
Cool seque from Fun Da Mental's Ja Sha Taan.
Very nice. I'll have to break out my double cd greatest hits. some good stuff on there, especially the live tracks.

You're thinking of Gary Wright.

"Here in my car, I feel safest of all" Possibly the best video of the 80s.
Other than the fact that it was made in 1979...
Kinda-sorta sings like Moby
this is the dreamweaver guy?
Reminds me of a cloudy November day in Nebraska in 1983. In other words, blah.
I wonder if he does his BREATHING Numatically...?
This was one of the better songs on this album, whach was the precursor to some baaad music to follow. (the late 80's - 90's) He has made some newer stuff circa 2000 which is much better. He has a recent cd double set with some very talented remixes done by industry bigshots called Hybrid. Some very cool tunes.

Saw this guy in Minneapolis with all his keyboards and makeup when he was on the cutting edge of 80s techno-syntho-euro-gotho-whatevero with a girl named Debbie. Hey Debbie, whatever happened to you?
