Where are the Gregorian Chants?
Enigma-esque
Midnight lounge music at high noon.

now that's a great band name
Nice lounge music.
Another artist of the BDSM scene
I'd never heard this track—nor this group—before.  Gorgeous!  Thanks once again, Bill.
Annoying.

Yeahl makes me wanna bust out the shrooms I got stashed! Reminds me of the bass groove in that William Orbit/Beth Orton Water on a VineLeaf thing, and submarine keys of Smoke City's Underwater Love; lots of Golden Palominos, hints of Goldfrapp, shades of Ivy...

Right there with ya! Some Olive, Thievery Corp, Sneaker Pimps, Hotel Costes, Emancipator, etc....
I was STUNNED when I heard the opening notes. Whenever I think I've found a "hidden gem", eventually it shows up on RP. Way to go Bill!

(Support this station - it's in my will!)
Great song to tan to🌞🌞🌞
nice but unfortunately out of date. 5.

Does sound like Lori Carson
Perfect for chilling during work! Dig it.

This would be great for that special playlist.

Oh my goodness. Not played since 2007!

This is godlike (well to me anyway) it is still played at Poacher Mansions.

{#Arrowd} . . . Oh and I too have finished playing with mind altering substances. I thought I'd be doing them for the rest of my life but you know what? I think I may have grown up. The track still sounds fab without them though {#Cool}
Makes me want to re-visit my youth and try those mind altering substances I gave up a long time ago
Nice Sunday evening relaxation before the kids come back

A wee bit too long? I've celebrated my birthday and Christmas since this thing started.
Nice song, but the mouth like squelshing sounds that seem to make up the rhythm for a majority of the song are drivin me nuts! Am I the only one thats hearing that?
A Very Peaceful, Lush Elevator Ride. Almost don't want it to end.
Smooth and ethereal - very nice :). 7 from the Nottingham jury.

I usually ID a Thievey Corporation song within a couple seconds. I got caught on this one. Is good though. Oh and the album cover is a plaque that was mounted on the Pioneer 10 spacecraft.
28 bucks on Amazon. EIGHT FRIGGIN BUCKS on i tunes. DOH!
My god, my bathroom break wasn't long enough... still going.

What would make this truly killer: if Zac de la Rocha from Rage were to pop in and start screaming like mad. Hells yes.
That is logical.

Your point being? That this is brilliant? This is not craftmanship, this is just programming. (Nothing inheritently wrong with that, but at least do something interesting with it.) Mondriaan didn't use Photoshop to construct his works, did he?
The point is that the music should not be judged by how difficult it is to make but by how beautiful it is.
coding_to_music wrote:

Not coding here, but architecting in the same medium. I bought this CD. I love it! So many Serious Music Critics here... .goat
Still going huh. This is very boring.

I bet Mondriaan didn't really find it too difficult to actually paint this work but that doesn't make it less beautiful (or valuable for that matter). If the materialization of a brilliant concept is simple it does not mean the concept is any less brilliant.

No talent required. Just program a few synths then paste them 10x to pad it to song length.

W O W! Far out, man. Would have been really cool around 1969.
Amazing cosmic effects
This gets a -10. How is this music?--just a bunch of sound effects, mumbled words, and a dull beat. Does it ever end?

Right, and a very nice transition from Dido. Nice combo. I like it!
"I'm John Diliberto and you're hearing Echos." No seriously, I like this but it's morning here. I prefer this kind of music at night. I gave this a 6.
You are putting me in a coma.
I like it... makes me want a glass of wine, though.
maybe this would take on new meaning after a few hits of yellow sunshine, but I doubt it...
That crap at the end is just too much.
sexy music.
This music, like coding, can get very boring...

Well there's got to be some talent involved -- I couldn't do any of that.
so much for getting any work done...zzzzzzzzzzzz...not a bad thing however

Yeah, If you let it in. I just relaxed a lot & got mellow and just didn't care what was happening around me. Better than drugging 'cause I could bounce back as soon as it was over---opium inducement.

Execrable! If you've already given up the day job guys, you've made a dreadful mistake!
Wha? Huh? Is it over? I must have dozed off...
Ever so strangly drawn to this.
Please make it stop!!!!!!!!!!!
Gotta give a 10 to the tambourine
I knew nothing of this the last time i heard it on RP (August). Had it on my cd via eBay from Germany within the week! That's internationalism for you...listener in England, RP in California, eBay everywhere, Starseeds from London, cd in Germany, comes back home to England!
STARSEEDS ARE OUT OF THIS HERE WORLD. Maybe too far outta this world for this here listener.
I keep expecting Madonna to start singing... "Justify my love... wanting... waiting..."

Very 'blue room' :goodvibes.gif: That's what i like about RP - Never heard of this band before but i certainly have now and will be looking out for their cd's. Cheers, Bryan.
Good planetarium show music, though it probably does go on a little too long past the point of diminishing marginal utility.
This is just way too cool, Bill!!! Give us more from The Starseeds!!

I SO love trance music!
Couldn't agree more.
For some reason, Parallel Life is one of my favorite trance albums ever. Maybe because it was one of my first, but there's something about the atmosphere they create that makes it a baseline standard for me.
My favorite cd for overnite drives or hanging in the house late at night/early morning. Trippylicious.
Lovin this
I dug it. Wrote it down. Must have something going for it to capture my attention. Maybe it was the acid flashback?
When do you decide to stop? Hmmmmm this is the 300th cycle of the "hook", we better end the song now.....
They only made two albums... Parallel Life & There's Enough For Everyone...
I SO love trance music!
This sounds an awful lot like a group called "Eighty Mile Beach" from (I think) the San Francisco Bay Area that put out an album about 8 years ago. Anybody know if there's a link? P.S. - Love it!

But make sure you have plenty of tape, because you are going to need to make a LOOOONG recording to earn the Grammy.

Well look, Arbiter, just about anything would be a lot cooler if we were stoned and making out with a hot chick. The question is, will this song heighten our date's responsiveness. Hmmm, hard to say. We'lll need to test this one!
Speaking as a woman, I would be REAL impressed if a man played THIS at his home. As for making out, no matter HOW great the music is, if either the guy or girl is a troll...nothing will help. LOL!

Yes, thanks Bill, to play music that makes the chicks feel sexy, I approve that!

I agree. I also imagine that there are thousands of people around the world who also are at work in front of their computers. RP makes doing my job a lot more bearable and enjoyable. Thank God I have a little office where I can play it on the speakers without raising the ire of the other cubicle inhabitants. Bill has made being at work, in front of our computers, a lot more pleasant.
