I believe, you say
Don't think, we'll stay
Drawn through the ebb
Lost in the flow

Beneath my breath, I confess
My world, loved less
The devil held the proof
For me to know

I could only fight
For the longest while
But with the truth out, baby
I belong to you

I stoop to find
My place, entwined
I took it to the bottom
One more time

I could only fight
For the longest while
But with the truth out, baby
I belong to you

I could trip and I want you to know
That every time I think
That I think I should go
I receive strange transmissions

I could trip and I want you to know
That every time I think
That I think I should go
I receive strange transmissions

I could only fight
For the longest while
But with the truth out, baby
I belong to you

I could trip and I want you to know
That every time I think
That I think I should go
I receive strange transmissions

I could trip and I want you to know
Every time I think
That I think I should go
I receive strange transmissions

heard her singing from another window on my PC and said "that sounds like Nora Jones, I better go make sure I rated that one"....sure enough!  Nora doing what she does best!  Love it.
So cool!😎
Norah Jones is solid gold and oh so spectacular paired with this band...sweet sweet

Has a Roxy Music vibe.
If I was a song writer and needed a male and female singer I'd have Nora Jones and Eddy Vedder at he top of my list but than again I'm not.

In many interviews she rejected this collaboration and said she was unaware that Malick would use this sessions as there was no agreement to do this.

Norah Jones is a real talent. You may not like her music and that's fine. But don't put it on her. I don't care for Jack White, but I realize he has great talent. It sucks that I can't appreciate him more.

β€œThe fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.”
What a unmistakable voice and nonchalant style

if this was the 30's y'all be dissing the duke. norah may not fit the RP demographic but in the real world, she's taken seriously.  this song is outstanding.
Music as wallpaper. Eminently forgettable.

Are we listening to the same track?  However you'd classify this one, it's no Bonnie Raitt wanabee.
No doubt Norah Jones is talented.
But is she authentic or imitating?
That question is always there when I hear her.

This keeps growing on me ... now I really dig it. Nora is quite talented.
You can't beat a bit of Norah! It's an ok saying I am from England :)

I like her voice.  Music is alright.
Ssssssweet.
Major Roxy Music vibe to this one.... Sounds great...!
Whew!  Thought the webiste was screwed up.  "This is definitely  Norah."  Yeah, it is.  And that's great.  Really, great.

Yes, I do some pretty absorbing computer work myself, and I thought this stood out... The composition was excellent and her voice worked with it... made it better and more complete as a work. Upgraded it from 7 to 8 .
NJ is America's sweetheart!
NJ gets me every time!
Sounds like an old Roxy Music song.
we like Nora, but this is boring

great stuff.  Norah Jones seems to be involved in some great stuff outside her solo work.

Honestly, I greatly prefer this over her solo stuff.  It's a lot more interesting in my opinion.  Her solo stuff is fine I guess, and every now and then something grabs me, but for the most part it all sounds the same to me.

great stuff.  Norah Jones seems to be involved in some great stuff outside her solo work.

My favorite song from an excellent album.

I agree.  This is a fantastic album, I enjoy it much more then the Norah solo stuff.  Much more depth musically and not nearly as repetitive.

TYVM.  OXO.  YMMV.  TTFN.

seen that done with a CX500 as well. I'd prefer the Guzzi though. Bigger motor. I ride a ST1100. That too would make a good light car motor.

I think I just realized what a big Nora Jones fan I am.  Her awesomeness kind of sneaks up on you.   Wonderful singer.
absolutely!

Great song, great album.
This is a great song.  Different to her solo stuff and equally brilliant but in a totally different way.  Very clever Ms. Jones and the Peter Malick Group.

Norah has one of those special voices, sometimes she is compromised by the recording companies and has to do more commercial stuff but no denying her talent

It seems a number of vocal RP listeners have a visceral reaction to NJ because she has been a commercial success lately, and they only wish to make allowances for mainstream artists who were successes before 1980. You'll note the same trend with Dave Mathews, Eddie Vedder, Coldplay, and others. Bill does a great job of highlighting lesser-known works by mainstream artists while avoiding the commercial chaff.
Spot on! This is the sad truth. Globally recognized bands like Pink Floyd always seem to get the benefit of the doubt and are touted as "genius", but recent successes are thrown to the wolves because they're too mainstream. DMB is mainstream, but that doesn't mean they aren't as talented. I pride myself on an eclectic playlist, mostly thanks to the teachings of RP, but I also have a place in my heart for masterwork which has come in the last ten years.

I absolutely loved Norah's first cd but was not so excited by the 2nd. She's a rare talent and young, so lots more to come from her. This one is OK, I'll have to hear it again...

Yep. "Snora" Jones need to smoke 60 marlbro, drink a bottle of JD, and get some songs with balls.

Sort of like Ray Charles is being rammed down our throats right now.

I will have to check this out now to round out my Norah Jones collection...absolutely fantastic
Strange Transmissions? We all need more of them!!!
wow.... First time I've heard this... Nice.
This cd is really an EP, and Malick recorded Norah before she hit big. I like the garage-y sound and Jones's more gritty sound on some of the cuts. She's got the stuff to be around for a good, long time. If you like "Strange Transmissions," cowboy up and get the cd! If you're looking for "Come Away With Me, Part II," though, this isnt' it.
I want to hear this again, but based on that first listen, I think I'm going to keep right on liking it.
