If life is a carnival
Can I stay here a while?
And I feel I'm about to go down
About to down

If love is a Ferris wheel
Can I see how I feel?
She's taking me up
But she don't even care to go down
Care to go down

Oh my friends, we landed in December
It is something for you to remember
Rushes were made and music was saved
One, two, three, she's riding up to heaven
Four, five, six, and right up to eleven
Rushes were made, and music was saved

Back on the ground again
Excuses are wearing thin
They came with the band
But they're out with the winter for now
Losing it now

Remember when I was young
Trying to be someone
Boy on his heels
I was never the toast of the town
Look at me now.

I saw these guys open for the Charlatans in DC at the 9:30 Club a year or so ago. They were lame. And the worst part was that because I bought my tickets online, I used my real email account, not my spam account. I was getting fucking Starsailor spam from their label forever. Nothing will turn you off a band faster than getting force-fed it from some marketing puke.
Got this song on a CD with Paste mag. I like it, but I think I have all the Starsailor I'll ever need.
:) I like these guys. I've only heard them for the last week or so and they seem to have lots of potential. I'm not sure that I understand all the negative response that I've been noticing. I saw the singer performing solo on Mike Bullard's show and his singing was excellent. Look forwar d to more.
oh god. not the new supertramp again... this is SOOO annoying...
Silence *would* be easier.... :|
Let's not go overplaying this now--Methinks I've heard starsailor one too many times, at least for this week. Perhaps the whole thing is testment to how much I've been listening to RP lately.
This is VERY catchy...I wish i was on a long trail run with this pounding through my headphones.....jumpin over logs.....springing up hills....
There are moments where this guy is channeling pure canadian vocal power from Martin Tielli and The Rheostatics!
This is from Silence is Easy. With regard to this cut, sometimes it's for the best.
This song sounds suspiciously similar to "Pounding" by Doves. Somebody ought to get sued!
yeeeehhaaaah Hadn't heard any Starsailor for some time. Nice addition, and such a pleasure on my full H/K with subwoofer rather than the speakers on my Sis's notebook.
happy this one made the cut - thanks rebecca! i love this new cd.
