All of the comments listed and when this tune was played where placed before I was aware of RP. This song and the whole CD is really great. I was unaware the RP had RC in there libary. It is much better than the 3.7 rating that it has gathered. I always thought that RC has a place on RP. He is a great songwriter and many of his tunes have been covered by other artists and many of you never even knew it. I think it's time to get this tune out of the libary give it this another spin.

gee.. is he a friend of Billy Joel or something? Sure sounds like it
that was my first thought -- "this was better the first time when it was 'We didn't start the fire' by Billy Joel"
hmmm.....not sure about this. I used to like a couple of his songs back around in 89 but this song is not bringing back any memories of why. he's kinda cute though
trying.....to...make.....social commentary.....AUGH - turn this off!!!
This song should have been named Fate's *Left* Hand -- you know, the "wiping" hand. ;)
Listening to this song is a little like walking into an elevator where someone had just farted.
Horrid! Simply horrid! This song is INCREDIBLY annoying.

The words are sorta interesting...especialy when I heard "there's a 187 on the 405". Which translates to "there's a murder on the San Diego Freeway". pbm 8^)
There's a 405 in most major cities... but still interesting..maybe he's an ex con.. LOL
gee.. is he a friend of Billy Joel or something? Sure sounds like it
this is just painful...

Not too excited about this but I do like the diversion from the normal country pap that is heard these days. It takes balls to buck the system.
I don't much care for this either... sorta like a less-good version of "It's the End of the World (as we know it)". (Or maybe it's just that words-upon-words style, which, in general, I don't like, *except* in ITEOTW(aiff).
This song really sucks. "Hey, hey, look at me! I can rhyme! I can write stupid lyrics, but at least they rhyme....am I not deep?"
