I have never heard this track here before! The Beasty Boys, fer cryin out loud! 8 out the gate!

Nice segue from Alpha Blondy Boulevard De La Mort; and the segue into Angelique Kidjo Akwaba was so smooth I thought there were vocal sounds after all. Masterful!

Beasties on RP!  Yeah!

Cool, cool, cool.  And yes, they were just kinda silly rappers 25 years ago but dudes grew up and became fantastic musicians all around.  Kinda like some young blokes from England that were just putting out pure pop music for a while that got them to the top of the world then they matured and let their music change with them...  What fun.  Great sounds.

I missed these guys when they first came out.  I thought they were rap/hip hop guys and I hated all rap/hip hop.

Turns out I was way wrong on both counts.  I started listening to 'em in the late 90's and I luv 'em now.

Better late than never....I guess.

BTW...Their music is awesome to listen to in the gym.

These guys I love.  I love 'em because they grew up.  They evolved.  They kept their shit innovative and rocking over the past THREE DECADES and while their straight up rap ain't for everyone they've done, in my eyes, as much as any band since The Beatles to grow with the times surrounding them.

I was a teen rockin' it with License to Ill but I realized a few years later that their music of that time was pretty sophomoric in content.  And so, I started to grow away from it... but then I noticed that those guys were chasing me.  With Check Your Head and Paul's Boutique these guys showed that they were way more than just the fumbling, druken, moderately skilled rappers of their twenties.  They started to play real music.  And produce some real soulful, funky rhythms that have truly grown up and grown with me.  Give thanks!
