um, hate to tell you, but that's not what happened - you probably shouldn't look up the real story.

Well, I looked up the "real" story, and here's what I found: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_a_Little_Dream_of_Me#Cass_Elliot_version
Any other information you have would be beneficial if not enlightening.

What a pleasure to hear such historical vocaling in these autotune times...

I was watching the Beatles on stage from about 1963 yesterday, and they were really energetically playing and belting it out and I thought: the difference is that real talent had to slug it out to become known whereas now the music companies simply push product and hope it sells. Talent isn't necessary - just attractiveness to get someone to purchase.

Then there's a breath of fresh air like this, or Glen Campbell, and you remember (if you were there) that we were in the presence of greatness.

Long a sentimental favorite of mine. Takes me right back to high school . . .

Somehow it's just not the same.
Great addition, nice 1 Bill!
Such a sweet, delicate voice when she wanted it to be.

This is fantastic!
Cass Elliot...your beautiful voice is still missed. The group was a wonderful offset in the late 60s. Denny and John you are missed too. Nice to hear this is opposed to the often 'California Dreamin'. The inner workings of this group were a real test of the human condition...with the unrequited love and such.
