You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it

You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it

You make my world in white
You make my darkness bright, oh yes
You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it, and I like it

And I like the way you kiss me
Don't know if I should
But this feeling it's love and I know it
That's why I feel good

You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it

You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it

You make my world in white
You make my darkness bright, oh yes
You've got this strange effect on me
And I like it, and I like it

Great, moody remake of an obscure Kinks tune!
Kinda James Bond like, pretty neat. Not one of my desert island disks, though :)
Her voice makes my ears bleed...even the cat fled, he hit the cat flap at a rate of knots unknown before this song !! :frustrated: :frustrated:
Hmmm... there are certainly better mixes of this song out there. Hafta dig one up & U/L it...
In this cut, her voice has a strange effect on me - it makes me turn off Radio Paradise.
Yeah, the vocals on the last couple of Hooverphonic albums often sound like they don't go with the music. Sometimes they are too far forward in the mix, project a different mood than the instrumentation does, or just sound off (like this song).
It sounds like a joke when it first starts, but then it\'s kinda catchy. I\'m not sure about the voice, but I can certainly listen to the whole song many times over. Odd. Enjoyable. :)
Interesting, but the vocals are weak. Worth a listen now and then though. ;)
the james bond-like guitar is cool, but what is up with that voice?
