I see through your thin cotton dress
I don't know if we'll get dressed
So pull by that store parking lot
You know I've missed your lots
Warn me of the cans and knots

I don't need a house in Lake Michigan
I don't need a purpose to plan within
I just want to feel your pulse again

Down town the exits just around
Can't you smell our future good and well?
I'll take you upstairs show you my bed and things
Share all my thoughts and cares

Here is my heart here is my soul
You pushed me past my lonely door
You are my everything

September a time of in betweens
Lazy month of nothing
All rainy gutters rushing

They're all true
All the good things you say
Will they all pass
Quit like the clouds today?

They'll be there in your pretty dreams
All full of colour and sense of things
You blow breath of life in me

I felt this way the night before
You pulled me from this heavy floor
You are my everything
You are my everything

This music inspires listeners to explore the great questions of our time, like.....do they only paint Red Houses or do they only Paint Houses Red.
or, are they red and paint houses. ;)
Too bad that everyone seems to be so down on RHP and this song in particular. Personally, I adore the RHP and everything Kozelek has done. His new band Sun Kil Moon is wonderful too.

Hey everyone! If you enjoy 'Red House Painters,' check out lead singer Mark Kozelek's new band 'Sun Kil Moon.' Their new album is called 'Ghost of the Great Highway.' It's buuuuuuuuuuutiful!

well...i kinda like it. i really like the petal steel.
does this guy hate his job? He could use some enthusiasm in his voice...
They should stick to painting houses.
I purchased their \"Retrospective\" Album a few years ago. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Not anymore. This guy screams \"I\'m whineing looser.\"
whining time for softies

Good stuff, and I\'m from MI originally.

I love all the RHP songs I have heard so far. I'd love to hear those cover tunes as well. Perhaps you could upload them for consideration.
ouch, maybe it\'s my network, but this MP3 is skipping like the dickens. ouch. it hurts.
Sorry, but this song is just lame.
