I have to agree. Of course, it may not have been so cheesy to me if I just didn't read that in a book this morning. A Million Little Pieces uses that title as one of the "awful" books the guy comes across while in a rehab center.

this song makes me think of 80's- early 90's folk-midwest rock. I hear indigo girls, melloncamp. something you might find in a college town. I don't think indigo girls are from the midwest(?), but they certainly borrow from the rock genre, even if some say they be punkish. this group has that feel: earthy, crisp, upbeat, affable. They still need to find the harmonic dynamism between singers, and between singer and guitar, before a compelling signature will happen.
