I'm looking through you, where did you go?
I thought I knew you, what did I know?
You don't look different, but you have changed
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Your lips are moving, I cannot hear
Your voice is soothing, but the words aren't clear
You don't sound different, I've learned the game
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Why, tell me why do you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight
You're thinking of me, the same old way
You were above me, but not today

The only difference is you're down there
And I'm looking through you, and you're nowhere
Why, tell me why did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight

I'm looking through you, where did you go?
I thought I knew, what did I know?
You don't look different, but you have changed
And I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Ahh, baby you've changed
I'm looking through you
Baby you've changed
I'm looking through you
I'm looking through you
Ahh, baby you've changed
I'm looking through you
I'm looking through you

I have to wonder what drugs they were taking when they thought this would be a good idea.
Probably the best song I've heard the Wallflowers play...
I always wondered how it would sound if the Monkees covered the Beatles. Now I know.
nice transition from "Mother Nature's Son". One thing that disspoints me about these I Am Sam covers, though, is that its almost like Beatles Kareoke. I like when covers are a little more different from the original, but when the original is so great, I don't complain real loud.

I often wonder whether the Beatles were really a "great" group. Covers like like sure make the Beatles sound Fabulous all over again.
I have this on a CD somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where the bugger is! Great Pop song.

I never thought I'd give something by the Wallflowers a rating below 7, but this just doesn't (quite) do justice to the song and to it's performance by the Beetles :o

IMHO, I think that "Heroes" version is a good cover.

DITTO!
This is one of my favorite breakup/revenge songs. The Beatles could certainly be caustic! This is a pretty good cover of a fantastic song!
They know how to rock, a better band than the airplay they receive.
Like Father, Like Son...perhaps. Time will tell, but until that time I dig the hell out of this band.
You can\'t do a Beatles cover and keep the same sound as the Beatles; everyone compares you unfavorably.
i hate the wallflowers, but this is a good song. :)
