I dream about stars here
I dream about bringing you a parade
We read foreign papers
Pretend we're hiding from an air raid
But I can't know
Why I always stutter

And she doesn't care
Breathe the same air
I don't have a hope in hell
Doesn't see
We could agree
This could be so blissful

And I will do magic
Houdini's rabbit lives here under my sleeve
I'd saw myself in half
There'd be two of us always ready to please
But I can't know
Why I always stutter

And she doesn't care
Breathe the same air
I don't have a hope in hell
Doesn't see
We could agree
This could be so blissful

This could be so blissful
This could be so blissful
This could be so blissful
This could be so blissful
This could be so blissful now

And she
Doesn't care,
Breathe the same air
I don't have a hope in hell
Doesn't see
We could agree
This could be so, be so, be so, be so

She doesn't care
Breathe the same air
I don't have a hope in hell
Doesn't see
We could agree
This could be so good

No comments on this track for three and a half years? Thank you so much Bill and Rebecca! Keep 'em coming!
This is a fantastic hidden gem album!  It's all subtle and well-crafted singer-songwriter material.  I was able to catch him on this tour, traveling with another acoustic guitarist and was wowed by how excellent the material was.  It's easy to see why he eventually struck out on his own.  If you're interested, the album's also available on Spotify.

Come for the Ani drumming, stay for the great songwriting!

Hey, I thought I'd seen Andy's name before!

He's on John Gorka's album "The Company You Keep". Listen: https://grooveshark.com/#!/s/Over+There/231MmP?src=5

I'd rather hear John Gorka sing Andy's songs. :-)

I have always dug this song. 7
I've got to give him big ups for being ani's drummer. The song, however, doesn't sound too original.
Wow, this song really does suck.
Thanks for the plant there, Andy. Just leave it outside the door.
Can there be anything worse than a third-rate Coldplay? This is bad music. It's so stolid, repetetive, and unimaginative.
Andy sounds like a 2nd-Rate Coldplay whose faux-U2 seriousness doesn't cut it.
He holds his own as a drummer. I wish he and Ani were still jammin' together, they made an excellent duo.
he was a great backup for ani - i loved his vox then. his solo work is unfortunately weak.

No, this guy doesn't sing; he sucks.
Let's hear "Every Little Thing She Does (Is Magic)" next!
Does sound a bit like too many other artists in this genre. I don't really hear anything original.
"This could be so blissful...." and it is....

hey, he sounds just like Andy Stochansky. sweet song, sweet voice...I like it!
Well put! Looove his voice!

I'm with you on this one. I tried, but no thanks. must mute and escape.
Right
I think the whole album is great. I can spin it several times before swapping it out of the CD changer in my trunk. Sometimes it makes it through a couple of swaps before pulling this CD out.
I bought this album on the strength of this single, (and because it reminded me of Word of Mouth Parade by Gus, an album I highly suggest), and because it's Andeeeee STOOOOOOO-chansky, but the album kinda sucks... pretty boring...
Sounds like the dude from Radiohead, but more of a wannabe to me.
I think he has a beautiful voice. kinda a cross between chris carrabba from 'dashboard confessional', and lead singer from 'five for fighting' Higher pitched than most =)

This is the first time I've heard this on RP, but I've had the album for -- I don't know -- a couple of years? I really like it. I bought it "sound unheard" 'cause I recognized Andy's name (knew he was Ani's drummer). I was pleasantly surprised that while nothing like Ani's music, I really liked his stuff in it's own right.
i like this one a lot. the lyrics make me smile

I agree with the "sounds like" part: added to my mute list

I didn't like it the first several times I heard it....but now I like it alot. Thanks to RP for "forcing" me to really get to know a song.
I've always liked this tune ever since Bill started spinning it. Yeah, I guess I'm a sucker for that buckley/Radiohead/Coldplay strain of rock. (Gosh, do those three really go together?!) Derivative? Maybe. Strained? Sure. Even though not earth shattering, I find it an honest display of emotion and another example of the triumph of passion over technical brilliance. Music is first and foremost an expression. And this is a clear example of that. Hey, I know I've felt a bit self-conscious in the presence of a knock-your-socks-off woman or two.
Most reviews (Amazon, etc.) seems to refer to the album's song 22 Steps... Any chance? Wouldn't mind hearing another cut...
there's a bunch of disco tweet in that cheese

True, bit of Buckley as well... rather good melodic song...
Seems to be a whole legion of Buckley influenced singers nowadays.
Highly derivitive I'm afraid.....
Nice, but it start to sound melow and cheesy after some listens...
Well, I like it, but then I like that Radiohead/Coldplay/boring, whiny angst/straining of vocal cords sound, anyway.

I rated it 1 before. I had the same, strong, reaction today. By no stretch of courtesy or fantasy could this straining of vocal cords be dignified with the word \"singing.\" If never heard again on earth would be far too soon. :(

The first line sounds like he\'s singing, \"I dream about Starsky.\" What about Hutch? :D

For RP listeners in Los Angeles... Andy will be performing on Friday, Feb. 28th at the Knitting Factory in the Alterknit Lounge. www.knittingfactory.com www.andystochansky.com

i used to kind of like this song, but it is wearing on me, real fast

I\'ve got a better band name for this one. Andy Stochansky and His Amazing Xerox Machine! Or maybe Andy Stochansky and The Cookie Cutters! Gets a one for unoriginality.
Not a bad song but, as mentioned below, sounds a lot like other stuff out there (Radiohead and Coldplay, to my ear). Definitely an artist to watch but this particular song doesn\'t add much to this playlist.
OK, now play \"Stutter\" by Elastica. Then you\'d have something.
Got a ho hum from me. One dimensional - which isn\'t always bad - but in this case nothing grabbed me to make up for it. Oh well.
I like it... i like it a lot.
My first thought on hearing this song was... \"Hmmm. Sounds like Coldplay.\" Not a bad little tune.
Are you sure this is not Thom Yorke? Sure sounds like him.... not a bad little ditty
Yet another Jeff Buckley clone hits the airwaves. At least the similarity is confined mostly to the vocals rather than trying to copy the musical style like so many shameless Buckley ripoffs out there. I\'ll give this one a 7.
I like it!
Would gladly pay this man to never sing again. Change that to \"sing\" . . . Painful to hear him strain. How did he get a recording contract? Ow, ow, say ears. Worst singer heard so far today. As a plus, the instrumentation is nothing but soporificizing and unimaginative. :(
Good stuff here. Looked him up. No, he isn\'t on Righteous Babe, he\'s on RCA. I agree that he has a Cold Play/Radiohead sound, he also sounds a little like Bono when he sings, I think. He\'s got his own thing going though and is definitely worth a closer look. I have 5 Star Motel and Radiofusebox and I never tire of either rotation. He\'s the real deal. Will blow the likes of John Mayer and the other \"new troubadours\" out of the water.
He\'s good recorded, even better live -- very funny guy. And he\'s from Toronto. A little CanCon, eh? *grin*
I like this song. Even though it does sound similar to Radiohead and some of the guitar work from Cold Play. Both of which I really dig. In answer to the Ani question, see below: \"While the multi-instrumentalist and Toronto native has managed two previous releases (the well-received indies Radio Fusebox and While You Slept), he\'s spent most of the \'90s as a sideman, including a long stint as Ani DiFranco\'s drummer.\"
The name sounds familiar... was Andy a touring / studio drummer for Ani Difranco? --d
